Remember when American intelligence told George W. that Iraq was hiding Weapons of Mass Destruction?
And we all found out it wasn't true.
How can anyone believe what "intelligence" is claiming.
The media is being used to distract regular citizens from something else underhanded going on in their own country.
Just be aware that American media is for the most part bias and propaganda. One cannot trust what we hear or see.
I am not a friend of Putin but again be vigilant and aware of what "facts" are being spread.
So your not willing to believe the "media" and that probably includes such respected publications as the NYT, LA Times, Chicago Tribune and WAPO, even PBS BUT you are willing to believe (wholly without the slightist shred of evidence) that something underhanded is going on in the USA.
People like you are the reason that a guy with a AR15 showed up at a Pizza joint while families were having dinner.
Oh, and the CIA (nor other intelligence branches) did not claim with any high confidence that Iraq had WMD - the report of buying African uranium was discredited. http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/04/23/cia.iraq/ I would cite (further) links but anyone can google for themselves...
He claims he had a clandestine hand-off in a wooded area near American University with one of the email sources
*
The leakers' motivation was 'disgust at the corruption of the Clinton Foundation and the tilting of the primary election playing field against Bernie Sanders'
A Wikileaks envoy today claims he personally received Clinton campaign emails in Washington D.C. after they were leaked by 'disgusted' whisteblowers - and not hacked by Russia.
Craig Murray, former British ambassador to Uzbekistan and a close associate of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, told Dailymail.com that he flew to Washington, D.C. for a clandestine hand-off with one of the email sources in September.
'Neither of [the leaks] came from the Russians,' said Murray in an interview with Dailymail.com on Tuesday. 'The source had legal access to the information. The documents came from inside leaks, not hacks.'
The plot thickens......is the assertion by Craig Murray true? Who knows, but this story sure will make a good movie someday.

DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE
WASHINGTON, DC 20511
Joint Statement from the Department of Homeland Security
and Office of the Director of National Intelligence
on Election Security
The U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of e-mails from US persons and institutions, including from US political organizations. The recent disclosures of alleged hacked e-mails on sites like DCLeaks.com and WikiLeaks and by the Guccifer 2.0 online persona are consistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts. These thefts and disclosures are intended to interfere with the US election process. Such activity is not new to Moscow—the Russians have used similar tactics and techniques across Europe and Eurasia, for example, to influence public opinion there. We believe, based on the scope and sensitivity of these efforts, that only Russia's senior-most officials could have authorized these activities.
