He is a stupid dyed in the wool 50s style Socialist. Theresa is not going to take no deal off the table. She knows it is a good card to have in her pocket.

The EU have never had to deal with someone who will not obey them. Every time in the past, when a country has gone against them in a vote, they have forced that country to vote again, until the EU gets its way.

They have threatened in their usual manner, and the UK is not caving. At least the people that matter are not caving. They would love to be dealing with Corbyn, as they would eat him for breakfast.

This is not going to happen. Corbyn can call as many no confidence votes as he likes. As long as the DUP support the Tories, he cannot force an election.

Theresa is on the Brexit ship bridge. She is turning up the throttle. Nobody can force their way in the cabin to take over. She may well crash the UK ship into the EU iceberg.

Tick tock.

Here is a UK board where they have an entire forum related to Brexit. They use a bit of language on this one, so consider yourselves warned.

John Bercow appears to be on the verge of being the first Speaker of Parliament in 230 years to be excluded from the House of Lords upon retirement. This after he interferred in the legislative process in a way that favored the Brexit Remainers last Wednesday.
Theresa May to block John Bercow’s peerage
Prime minister angry at ‘appalling behaviour’ in Commons

John Bercow is set to become the first Speaker in 230 years to have his peerage blocked after ministers moved to punish him for “bias” during Brexit debates, The Times has learnt. Commons Speakers are usually automatically offered a seat in the House of Lords after approval by No 10 but relations between Mr Bercow and the government have broken down.

The Speaker tore up years of precedent on Wednesday last week to change Commons rules and allow MPs to control business of the House. “Precedents of Speakers getting peerages don’t last for ever either,” one senior Tory said last night.
A Speaker of Parliament is expected to remain neutral and objectively detached in their conduct, and sadly, Speaker Bercow failed to uphold that very important standard. Now he is poised to pay the price. Or at least part of the price, as their is likely more retribution coming his way than just this.

with exactly 10 weeks to go until we leave the EU I don't think there is enough time left to negotiate a new deal with the EU knowing how slow they work this is now not possible and we will leave the EU with no deal.

I never heard that one before. I am curious about how much longer he will serve as Speaker of Parliament after this outrageously partisan stunt. Do you have any sense of that?

He has told friends he plans to retire next summer. It would be real difficult to get rid of him, so angry MPs will probably leave it at that. He'll go with a fat pension, but maybe not a seat in the House of Lords.

Time we had a female in the job. Betty Boothroyd used to treat them all like naughty boys.......

It’s time for a second referendum. The Brexiters never provided a plan or vision of what would happen to the UK once the referendum succeeded and now they’re paying the price. Similar to Trump supporters , there was no plan or vision, only elderly voters destroying the futures of their children and grandchildren the same as in the USA by Trump votes. At least in Britaun. They can claim to habe family leave and day care programs to support newborns.

I have heard this opinion before, and it's untrue. Older voters didn't vote for Brexit to destroy the future for our children and grandchildren. We did it to save their future.

Why would you think older voters would want all this turmoil? With the status quo our pensions went into the bank every month, and we with plenty of spare cash from owning our homes, could just enjoy our lives, and fly abroad to get sunshine a few times a year.

We voted to jeopardize our own comfortable existences because we hate seeing what has happened to my country, especially this last 20 years. This immigrant invasion cannot continue to this small island. It has to be brought under control. If it isn't, the population of this small island will continue to grow at an alarming rate.

We took our fears to the EU before the vote, and they dismissed our Prime Minister at the time. He went to them pleading for help on this issue. All he got was haughty disdain. That's why we voted to leave.

Of course we're better off financially within the EU. We know that. I want a future for the young people of my land similar to the one I had. The chance to own a home, and pay your way. Just a simple thing like that, is out of the reach of a large part of our young population.

I am on my way out. My time is limited. I will vote to leave the EU with all my heart and soul, for the young people of this country.

No, it isn't. And Theresa May has said countless times there will not be one.
