Now the main motion, as amended. It seems to me that this is effectively the same vote as the first amendment vote.

Ayes to the right - 321
Noes to the left - 278

The UK Parliament is opposed to leaving the EU without a deal, ever, with the recognition that the only way a no deal Brexit can be stopped is to either agree a deal with the EU27, or to revoke Article 50 and therefore revoke Brexit.

So that went about as expected. Next will be the extension request vote tomorrow.

Some of these MP's would do well to learn some manners. Just saying.

It doesn't mean that Malthouse mmoght not yet come to be, as the alternatives are looking less likey.

Unless May can get her deal through then it's either Malthouse, a Hard Brexit or one of the other options which are really No Brexit.

So we are where we were 2 months ago.
  • Option 1. - UK swallows the Backstop or No Deal exit.
  • Option 2. - UK withdraws Article 50 and stays in the EU.
And the thrashing, convulsions, & hyperventilating continues. And now they want to ask for an extension so they can keep doing it. i.e. this.

And for his part Macron, chimes in, there won't be an extension either unless May can come up with a good plan for what is supposed to happen.

So after the amendment taking no deal off the table in any circumstances passed May whipped against her own motion but lost since it still passed lol!

After the events of tonight I think it's clear May is now supporting no deal.

You don't understand. It was meaningless. No Deal is still the Default UNLESS the EU agrees to some sort of change and at this point they have said they won't.

We have suspected this for some time. And I'm still going with the playing with the flute thing too. IMO, she's poisoned the well to almost insure the only choice is going to be either No Deal or no BRexit.

My gut says that May really wants a "no deal" BRexit and that's she's playing them like a flute. But at face value, nobody believes this including myself. It's going to be very interesting to see if the goverment bureaucrats backed by the globalists usurp what the voters voted for.

I understand everything but you feel the need to continue to insult me for some reason by saying I don’t. As the UK Speaker would say, that is most discourteous.
