Everyone already knows all of this stuff already but guess what those factories still employ people.
Hillary supporters would rather just not see the jobs at all.
Lib.tard logic : Trump can't bring back factories that employ 1,000 people and 200 jobs isn't enough (the Europe model) so we don't want the jobs at all!
The jobs exist, but the people in Middle America haven't developed skills to take advantage. Offshoring and H1-B's certainly make things more difficult. However, the biggest issue seems to be people that want what they had in the past without going beyond their 11th grade education.
Even if Trump could magically create millions of jobs, they're going to be a combination of high skill high wage jobs with low-skill low wage jobs. The people that grasped his message want low-ish skill, high-ish wage jobs. Companies actively seek to get rid of those occupations.
So people are going to stop buying iPhones, Samsung Galaxies (maybe since they're exploding), Sony Playstations, xBox, etc?
My thinking is they can stop or not stop buying those products but if a large % of the American population wants the jobs to return then buying stuff made elsewhere is not going to motivate companies to set up shop in the USA. Point being people arent going to stop buying all manner of products made elsewhere so the jobs arent coming back, As said before "bringing the jobs back" was just an empty political feel good slogan that seemed to have been taken literally by too many along with all the other Trump bs,Personally i think America has been duped by a very good con man but hey he's got 4 years to prove me wrong..

The government should be funding schools more with programs that offer training for those types of jobs. Until this happens the US is going to continue to decline and GDP growth will be anemic because we are relying soley on cubicle farm jobs. That's what was beat into the millennials for 20 years and that's why are whining it up now...the demand for those jobs is nowhere near the supply.
President-elect Trump has said he will bring back our manufacturing jobs from China and Mexico. When does that happen and how many is he going to bring back?
Uh-oh, smart person alert...
The answer is, never. Automation is the future and jobs will be centered around the tech industry, not manufacturing. Anyone who says different is either a liar or a fool (possibly both).

Another misinformed lefty...so sad, I truly feel sorry for you guys.

Well, the younger generation doesn't seem to want them. There are jobs now which can't be filled.
Quote:
In fact, there are currently two million jobs going unfulfilled in the manufacturing sector, largely due to an aging workforce — the average age of a manufacturing worker is almost 45, two and a half years above the national non-farm median — and negligible interest in those jobs from younger generations.
China hasn't taken our jobs we've given them away , if those jobs come back here well be paying $150 dollars for a coffee maker from Walmart instead of $50
I'd rather pay $150 dollars for a coffee maker made by Americans than pay $50 made by some kid in China.
That really doesn't answer the question of how to stop a company like Carrier from relocating to Mexico.
It also cuts entirely against conservative economic philosophy. Free trade is supposed to be a good thing. You're supposed to let capital flow to its most productive use. It doesn't make any business sense for Carrier to pay workers $20 per hour when they can pay workers $3 per hour in Mexico. That's millions of dollars in savings that can be re-invested.
There won't be much return on investment if the people making $20 an hour are either jobless or making $10 an hour or less. They will buy much less stuff made in Mexico and China. In a more ideal economic world, Ford would be setting up manufacturing in Mexico to better serve its Mexican customers and not to send cars made there to the U. S.

I wonder how many Americans wish they had enough money to buy a $50 made in China coffee maker?
