I thought they were still signing in, Trump just wouldn't release the logs, so that people wouldn't know who is coming or going.
What I think is strange is Mar-a-Lago. Seventy of the staff are foreigners working on visas. What's to prevent someone with a nefarious agenda from slipping into that bunch?
