Oh so proclaiming yourself to be a history buff makes your assessment that we're living in the dark ages valid?

How far are you gonna run with this one?

But newspapers in particular are in huge trouble. Hard copy buyers are mostly old; paper versions will be extinct within twenty years as that generation dies out. The newspapers always figured they could do well with online versions but I disagree. Here's why:
I am an "average Joe" in most ways, but one exception is that I love reading my local daily with a passion. Other people might check Facebook ten times a day; I check my newspaper website that often. My newspaper has drifted left over the last thirty years and is now HARD left. I have boycotted buying the hard copy for years due to their bias ( many other people have too). But I could never even imagine boycotting the online version....even though I know that every click helps them. But just tonight, I realized "I don't need them". I don't need to read about big fires, crimes or events THAT bad. I can hear about most of that stuff in other ways. If a guy like ME is giving up on my lifelong love--my local daily--- then newspapers are toast.
This is me as well. Always got the local paper but a couple of years ago, they hired a new editor and now are decidedly left. Decided it wasn't worth it anymore as they stopped really reporting local news and instead became one long opinion piece. I think it's also no coincidence our local paper is now in dire financial straits. For the life of me, I can't figure out why they seem to not get they are pushing their readers away with this tactic.

You gotta love these threads where the very first sentence is a blatantly false premise, pulled out of thin air.

What is the "Mainstream media"? Fox? The Wall Street Journal? ABC? CBS? NBC? The Atlantic? The New York Times? Brietbart?

I don't think that the MSM is fine for losing half their viewers. In fact I think that they are horrified but don't show it as if it doesn't matter when it really does. Especially when their is big money involved like with newspaper and magazine subscriptions.

Yes to the entire list, except Breitbart.

I don't know. You'll have to ask someone at Fox.

That would be because you are clueless and don't know leadership when you see it. That probably comes from dealing with girlyman, corrupt obama for eight years and are used to failure. Those days are over now, we have a real man and a real leader taking charge. You are going to love him as soon as you wise up enough to appreciate real success..

Possession is 9/10s of the law. Trump has it, Trump owns it, and he will drag you, kicking and screaming if necessary, to unbelievable success.
So chill out, sit back and enjoy real leadership, you will benefit greatly...
