With each passing day it's becoming more obvious that Trump's campaign was a huge sham. The swamp is not being drained. He's an actor who has found a new role as part-time Mr. President while he runs his personal businesses. I hope he can prove me wrong on that.

It's FAR too early to make those kind of statements.

Relax and give it some time. He's not even the President yet.

And how many times were you told here that was exactly what he'd do? It really didn't require an oracle to predict that a 70-yo man was going to continue to operate the way he'd always operated.

I remember when W was elected, and how excited Rs were, sure that he'd make everything right again (whatever they meant by that). By the time he left office, his approval rating was what? under 30%?

Trump's gonna be the same way. Except he might get there sooner.

Well, if we vote for the billionaire class, we get the preferred policies of the billionaire class.

This means legalized bribery in politics on a massive scale. How else can the top 0.1% manage to rule over the 99.9%? In a democratic system, thats not possible. Only in an oligarchic system is it possible. Legalized bribery is at the CORE of this rigged system and huge numbers of puppets, lobbyists and special interests are needed in DC to ensure that it stays that way.

On the other hand, we have straight shooters like Bernie Sanders who for more than 30 years have actually fought all the special interests and big money donors that rig the economy against ordinary Americans. We had a choice and the choice was the ruling billionaire class. Now we must pay the consequences.

And we will. People will remember the present time as the old good days when "America was better"

Hillary wasn't even president and yet we've had that (with her) for the last 8 years and others for decades more so what else is new?
Bernie would not have changed a damn thing other than totally ruining the middle class for good.

People sitting on the porch, smoking a bowl, and getting their food stamps will remember these as the good old days, no doubt.

Those that are the net "providers" to the current system will begin to feel more of a sense of justice in the days to come.

Based on the outcome of this most recent election, I believe that most folks will enjoy what's to come, vs. what has been.

YES it takes time to "drain the swamp" when you haven't even started the position yet.

You people need to relax and stop the impulsive 2nd grader mentality.

It was the Trump supporters who believed the billionaire would change how big money donors and special interests get their way in Washington at the expense of the people. Do you honestly believe he will nominate supreme court justices that advocate for much tougher restrictions on bribe money in politics? His favorite justice is Scalia! A man who loved legalized bribery.

If you honestly believe that legalized bribery in politics is necessary to strengthen the middle class, you are not being honest with yourself. The vast majority of the American people has zero influence on public policy (because they are not members of the ruling donor class). Its precisely the massive influence of donors, lobbyists and special interests that is causing the American people to get crushed economically. The sooner you realize that, the quicker you can take necessary and logical steps to fight back.
