Our summers are mostly dry, we expect one rain shower per week. Usually August is dry all month long. I have some boggy areas on my land and August is the only time I can generally schedule to get equipment into those areas.
Spring and Fall are both wet and muddy. The rivers all go up and often there is some flooding.
Winter is interestingly dry. Once temps go below freezing [and stay there] all precipitation is dry. We normally see a weather front come through once a week, leaving us some snow. The next 5 or 6 days will usually be sunny and the snow dissipates some. Before the next weather front moves in. In this cycle, we never experience wet-ness [unless you punch through the ice on a lake or river]. Winters here do not require water-proof gear or shoes, just warm stuff.
I would say that our Summers and Winters are dry, while our Springs and Falls are wet, here in Maine.
