Why were hispanics protected - and not Italians? Seems every so called non profit organization out there now will only hire English -spanish speakers as employees - but no other language is required - are we also now funding non profits solely for the purpose of taking care of hispanics - who also have advantages in hiring - affirmative action promotions - special language signs & translations required everywhere - but none of that was done for Italians - who faced as much or more discrimination and still do?
Jews, Irishman, Poles, Germans, - all lumped together as WHITE. So a company must hire quotas of blacks, and hispanics - but not one job is required to go to any other specific ethnic group considered white. How did the country become so protectionist toward hispanics - legal or otherwise?

This is incorrect. The government doesn't force companies to have hiring quotas based on race or country of origin or any other protected class.

Protected Class doesn't mean that companies must fill quotas. Protected Class means that they cannot discriminate against someone based on race, country of origin, age(over 40), religion, familial status and several other items. For that matter, every race is protected because hiring decisions aren't supposed to be made due to race. Period. If someone was refused for a job specifically because they were white then this is illegal the same if someone is refused for a job specifically because they were black the same as if someone is refused for a job because they are catholic or muslim or buddhist or specifically because they were 45 years old and deemed too old.
So North America and South America are not continents or not American or not countries or ......????

North America and South America are America splited by Geopolitical reasons. They were discovered at the same time by Colombus and the Spanish Explorers, and named together as AMERICA.
