A great example of how cleverly presented political correctness can destroy almost anything in it's path. This is a beauty contest for crying out loud. Where we celebrate woman's beauty and freedom to express themselves. Obviously, she is hanging onto a totally different viewpoint. If she wants to speak of the beauty of the hijab, then take the message elsewhere. Go back to Somalia and enough of the insidious attempts to subvert our way of life. Not welcome and these people need to begin to respect us more.
I found her behavior (not her personally) quite annoying.
I am pretty sure she has a nice body, but I can't really see her curves.
I participated in a beauty pageant when I was 20, bikini contest is a big part of the pageant. I enjoyed the attention and I am not going to lie about it, but pageant is not for me.
Don't like it, don't participate. Very simple concept.
No need to change the rule just to make a political statement. Attention Seeking Behavior is always overly dramatic. Let's call a spade a spade.
Is a rule actually being changed? Do the rules actually say bikini? Or just swimwear? I say if she wants to participate, then go ahead. There are no adverse effects on anybody else.
