Put yourself in a stereotypical American liberal's shoes.

You watch TV, listen to main stream news, professional sports, Hollywood, singers, etc that openly supports the liberal movement.

Most adult females you know take birth control pills and/or had abortions.

Your perception is that everyone wants to move to a big city, probably a somewhat true perception as more and more people are living in cities.

Your inner circle has more and more LGBTQ individuals, non US citizens and non US born citizens. Not too long ago, the typical white liberal male probably had that one friend who was born in another country and probably had no friends who was LGBTQ.

You never do anything remotely considered conservative or American heritage. Like hunting, camping(remote camping), hiking(no trails), reading The Constitution and journals of founding fathers, going to church, etc

It is easy to point the liberals as blind or crazy if you are conservative. But put yourself in their shoes, maybe they are winning.

Why do you care so much about what is going on in Europe? Perhaps Trumpsters are not all about "making America Great Again".

Did people lose medicare and SS under Reagan, Bush or GW Bush?

This is why Trump won; the irrational meme on the left was finally outweighed by rational people from all sides. Trump promised to strengthen Medicare and SS, but the MSM was too busy trashing him to actually talk about his policy promises.

You also continue to ignore that the left voted for the last two wars... including Pelosi, Boxer, Reid and Clinton. War is not just a Republican gig, so stop pretending it is.

Again with the basket of deplorables, racists, "insert any insult here" rhetoric.

You take something that one person says and then claim it to be all Trump supporters.

How daft must you be to continue insulting the people who just kicked your as$es for just that reason?

Progressives keep proving they are infantile at best.

Note: I didn't vote for Trump

Sorry, the decline of the US began in 1963 and accelerated in 1988 and has continued accelerating since. The last 15 years have been absolutely the worst in our history save WWII which lasted less than 4 years. The debt doubled under GWB and then again under Obama, and we've gotten very little return to show for all those trillions.

No... you act like the decline of the US is only just beginning when the fact is there is more room to go up than down at this point.

There is no right-wing surge, it is just everything right of the far-left is called right-wing somehow nowadays. And i hope that this trend actually is temporary.

George Wallace won by a landslide in 1963 with the support of the KKK, as an anti-black segregationist, and the next year the ground breaking 1964 Civil Right Bill passed. I think we got déjà vu all over again. There is always severe backlash against social progress. A black president and a Woman presidential candidate, Marijuana reform, LBGT, Muslims and Illegal aliens taking part in American life, Roe V. Wade over 40 years old and no chance of being overturned, and only one fourth of Americans want to fully repeal ACA. The Donald is just a 2017 version of George Wallace. It means nothing to the momentum of progressive change in America.

The majority of Americans are in the middle. What people saw in this last election was the Republican Party going to the center with Trump (he's no conservative), and saw people like Hillary Clinton and especially Bernie Sanders going further and further to the left. I don't care what anyone says, too far in either direction is horrible. Trump represents "in the middle", and no amount of leftist race-baiting, scare tactics, and promises to increase the welfare state helped them. America doesn't want socialists, commies, marxists. That's what the Democrats are becoming......or are.

Ronald Reagan said it best.... The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so.

If that ain't the truth, I don't know what is.

No, Trump is not a 2017 version of Wallace for the simple reason Wallace was a Democrat. You leftists love keeping out that very important detail. You also like leaving out the fact that the founders of the KKK were Democrats. And you Democrats lost elections ALL OVER THE PLACE because of your lies (race-baing etc.) and the silent majority saw right through that crap. Hillary Clinton had no message outside of name-calling and labeling people.

Secondly, just because you had the first Black President (who is a disgrace) and the first female criminal presidential candidate means nothing. See, the Democrats problem is that you are obsessed with race and anything that has to do with sex (ex. abortion, orientation, birth control, sex changes, etc..). Sorry, there are more important issues at hand.
