This shouldnt be a surprise though. Donald Trump has demonstrated contempt for any press coverage he dislikes, openly attacking reporters in press conferences.

The destruction of our democracy marches on.

If implemented, that's a good idea. There is no good reason or need to house the press in the White House. This will afford more space for the White House staff.

Across the street should from the White House should meet the needs of the press.

I doubt it will take six months.

But I bet the knife will come from the Republicans. They're not going down with Trump's ship of fools.

Even Melanie knows that that moving all their gold-painted furniture to the WH is a waste of time.

I don't see how it matters if it is in the WH or across the street other than the "Sorry I couldn't make lunch, but I had to go to the White House" factor.

Default Trump plans to kick media out of the White House

As bad as the news media is I can't say I blame him. can't believe anything they say and instead of reporting they want to throw their opinion on everything.

No surprise there. Fascist cheeto. They must have been bullying him... he needs his safe space after all.

His skin is so paradoxically thin you can make a case for whether or not it even exists at all.

He's not going to do it wholesale. He'll cherry pick who goes, and stack the press room with friendly outlets. He loves attention and the front row on Thursday gave us a taste of who the favored ones will be.

True. That's why they need to be booted.

Indeed, they did. They can't be believed or trusted.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but discrediting the press is what dictators do.

Does it really matter ? Why say somthing and have it twisted by others ? I'm not on either side , I'm on my side . But tbh , in this day and age , if Trump needs to go public , on video , he could post on YouTube .

The legitimate press will continue to do their job, regardless of distance, and will serve to inform the few remaining sane among us. The tinfoil-hat-wearing conspiracy theorists will continue to take Trump for his tweets.
