In 2015, a member of a local Lutheran Church argued scripture with a bible study group in another church in South Carolina, before opening fire and killing 5 and wounding 3 others.
All were Americans. All self identified as Christians. Obviously racism trumped Christianity in this instance.
No doubt the church members in that room felt terrorized.
Not possible to use a broad brush to paint any religion.
I paint Islam with a broad brush because even in its most innocent form it subjugates women as property to be looked after, and just goes deeper down the rabbit hole from there.
Quebec is French speaking - their are Syrians living in Quebec. They are likely to be bilingual in French/Arabic.
French is not as widely taught in Syria today as it was 50 years ago, but the more educated will know French.
Syria was part of the French Mandate and for a while, learning French was mandatory. More likely to be taught in the larger cities like Damascus & Aleppo. Arabic is the official language of course.

Yeah, we do have people of Syrian origin in Quebec.
When the phrase 'Allahu akbar' is used by this people, especially against other Muslims, what they mean is "My Allah, and my (Sunni) Islam, is greater than yours.'
They are proclaiming that their religion is the one, true and correct Islam, and your version of Allah and Islam is a lie, your false religion is a cancer in the world, so you and yours must die.
These Sunni terrorists have convinced themselves that their version of Islam is supreme, and anyone who does not submit to it is a heretic and must convert or die.
this is why Obama has utterly failed in his war against ISIL, he thinks we can bring peace thru a dialogue of ideas, and ISIL will suddenly say "oh wow, what a compelling vision you have expressed." /hug "We can live in peace now."

I'm sure the right was praying that they shot up a Christian church so they could pin this on Christianity being under attack.
The vast, overwhelming terrorists that we have had to worry about in the USA are either radicalized Muslims e.g... ISIL, or our own domestic terrorists - i.e.... radicalized Democrats.
Some stories are reporting the Moroccan has only been in Canada a couple weeks. Maybe if the good-hearted Canadian people had been a little more discreet in their vetting of Muslim immigrants the six people that died last night would still be alive.
But no one is talking about that in the MSM because it would just confirm Trump's policies...and we can't have that, even if innocent Canadians have to die. Right libs?
