Classic. Remember the liberal politicians expressing regret that the San Bernardino shooter was a Muslim and not a white male supremacist? The liberal news sources will try to avoid identifying any perpetrators that are Muslim. "Unidentified" means "he's not a white male." It happens with reporting the violence from immigrants in Germany. Too many US politicians try to downplay the threats to our country.
Well, if this was the US, and the suspected perps were white, that would already be headline news, even if it was just a rumor. In the US, if the suspected perp is black/brown/muslim, they would sit on it until they figure out how to spin it to support the OFFICIAL STORY.
Maybe the Canucks keep it close until they know what's going on.

Things just changed a few minutes ago. The fellow who is of Moroccan origin was released, we learned a few minutes ago. He's a person of interest or a witness only at this point.

It's also emerged that he has said some weird stuff, trolling social media sites of refugee support groups, and also women's rights groups.
Looking more like a case of a lone wolf, far-right individual at this point.
There will be more of this as they have taken in about 100K refugees.
