A Cheesecake Factory in California hopes to return to normal business hours after a man threw a homemade bomb into the restaurant Thursday.

Pasadena police told the Hollywood Reporter that shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday evening, a man reportedly opened the door and threw the lit device inside the restaurant before fleeing. Although the bomb exploded on an empty table, no one was hurt in the incident.

The PPD are currently investigating the incident. The motive of the suspect, who police say is a "male of Hispanic or Middle Eastern descent, 6'0, thin build, with a heavy beard and wearing all black clothing and a black beanie," according to witness' descriptions, is currently unknown.
Just heard this, happened Thursday night.

Hmmm, I didn't hear the news correctly earlier. I thought a man dropped a bomb in CheeseyFactory. You know how too much cheesecake can lead to a big build up.

"male of Hispanic or Middle Eastern descent"

What the heck does this mean?

Edit: I found the tweet from the police. I still don't understand the description. Guess the man didn't have blond hair and pink skin.

Just a coincidence how little media play this seems to be getting. I mean, it's not exactly like we have bombings in American cities every day. I guess we'll just have to import some more so we can catch up with the rest of the world.

As soon as it was posted here, I found numerous stories about it. Nobody was injured. In addition to dozens of local sources:

No they weren't-but doesn't it seem strange that it got so little coverage? I heard nothing on the national news tonight, nothing on NPR all day. Seems a bit odd, seeing that bombings aren't exactly a daily event here.
