First, "alternative facts" isn't such a hard slam because, in an age wherein trust in the MSM is at a historic low, the concept of "alternative facts" merely implies the actual facts that are left out by the MSM or that are otherwise distorted by the MSM.
In other words, countering the facts of the MSM with truer "alternative facts" is not only non-controversial but it is patriotic.

Let's see---You all loved the status quo where politicians on both sides of the aisle are beholden to their mega-rich donors and put said donors ahead of their constituents. Sure, every now and then they throw a bone to their constituents by having hearings that are nothing more than dog and pony shows. For example, when Disney laid off their American IT workers and forced them to train their H1-B replacements, congress held hearings. And what came out of those hearings? Answer: Absolutely nothing.
They held hearings where they invited those who lost loved ones at the hands of illegals. Some were illegals who were deported several times prior. And what came out of those hearings? Absolutely nothing.
They refuse to properly secure our border and do nothing but sit back and allow millions of illegals to come here and squat in this country. Never mind that illegals displace unskilled Americans in the work force.
They have allowed 1 million legal immigrants into this country per year since 1965. A total of 59 million legal immigrants have come to this country in that time frame. Not to mention millions of untold numbers of illegals came, too.
They claim to be so concerned about the environment and wring their hands but see nothing wrong with hyper immigration.
Obama allowed sanctuary jurisdictions to exist while suing states that made laws that mirrored federal laws. Obama's DOJ was one of the most corrupt ever.
Yet, you libs love the whole rotten, corrupt system and are whining, crying and gnashing your teeth because Trump is making an effort to clean up things. Reasonably intelligent people realize that cleaning out the corruption is a good thing.
If you truly loved your country, you wouldn't be cheering for the status quo to continue. No one expects Trump to wave a magic wand and instantly clean it up. It will take time---especially when libs and RINOs are going to fight tooth and nail against it.
