I couldn't believe it when #45 tweeted about the clothing line being pulled from the store 21 minutes after he was scheduled to have a national security briefing. Did he even go to the meeting, did he tweet during the meeting or what? With all the stuff going on in the world the president and his mouth piece, Kellyanne, are lower than pond scum to make a big deal out of this.
Clearly, ivanka's clothing line issue IS a national security issue. It is the top national security issue. They will build a wall around Nordstrom, Macy's... and probably even TJ Maxx to protect her clothing line. And, they'll get Mexico to pay for it. He was hammering out the details during the briefing, and her stuff is safe, no other stuff flooding into the country...
That was a very lighthearted segment it's a total non-issue. Fox and Friends is a morning show that covers a lot of things that isn't hard news or politically related. This is all engineered by the media they're just looking for anything they can find. They've taken the Ivanka clothing line thing and just ran with it for how long now

I think they're silly for giving an already dishonest media ammunition so in that regard yeah I think they mishandled it. Honestly I think the whole thing is stupid I'm kind of tired of hearing about her clothing line in general. Again this is the media they want to keep it in the spotlight as a way to get at Trump.
If her sales skyrocketed in the 1st quarter of 2017 they would try and find a way to blame that on Trump too.

OMG! It isn't news? Did you tell all the fox watchers that? Do they know that fox has opinion shows all over their schedule? Like, The Five - the fox news equivalent of The View - is-not-news?
Of course, that whole ethics thing about avoiding even the appearance of impropriety? Makes a 'light hearted segment' fall under that umbrella, because even if said as a 'joke', it is still pushing someone's products by a member of the administration. Kinda like saying 'as a joke' that trump will go out and ruin a member of congress because he disagrees that it is, at the very least, unethical to do seizure without any sort of conviction.
