we are sticking to the topic. Obama administration got away with murder (not liberally or maybe literally) Be honest; the left and especially the media has been after Trump since he started to make his move and they are going to leap onto anything they can and hold on for dear life. Will we have another Watergate? Maybe, but this is not it.

Sir/Mam - off topic again.

I think this is leading to a seriously terminal legal or political event for this administration. It's "deja vu all over again" as Yogi Berra would have put it.
Keep dreaming.

It's only considered 'off topic' if one criticizes the left.

Have you ever thought about what ACTUALLY happened? Some lower level employees--not Nixon--broke into the Democrat campaign headquarters to look at campaign data. Nixon resigned over the mere hint of impropriety, that he could possibly have known about it.

Since then, President Clinton lied to the American people on TV: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman." He didn't have the grace to resign, and got away with it.

We recently saw an IRS employee who had abused the power of the IRS to rubber stamp any pro-liberal non-profits / charities, while "sitting on" or losing the processing on any potentially conservative or patriotic groups. There was direct evidence Obama knew about it, and encouraged it. Lerner thumbed her nose at Congress. No penalty, to either of them.
Nixon knew and Obama did not. Stop rewriting history.

I'll go off topic too...As if conservatives wouldn't have given Hillary a hard time if she won the WH. Give me a damn break!

Have you forgotten the "smoking gun" tape?

Quote:
In late July 1974, the White House released the subpoenaed tapes. One of those tapes was the so-called "smoking gun" tape, from June 23, 1972, six days after the Watergate break-in. In that tape, Nixon agrees that administration officials should approach Richard Helms, Director of the CIA, and Vernon A. Walters, Deputy Director, and ask them to request L. Patrick Gray, Acting Director of the FBI, to halt the Bureau's investigation into the Watergate break-in on the grounds that it was a national security matter. The special prosecutor felt that Nixon, in so agreeing, had entered into a criminal conspiracy whose goal was the obstruction of justice.

Once the "smoking gun" tape was made public on August 5, 1974, Nixon's political support practically vanished. The ten Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee who had voted against impeachment in committee announced that they would now vote for impeachment once the matter reached the House floor. He lacked substantial support in the Senate as well; Barry Goldwater and Hugh Scott estimated no more than 15 Senators were willing to even consider acquittal.

Watergate is like a day at the water park compared to collusion with an enemy of the state. At least Palin can keep tabs on Russia from her backyard.

Even she was wise enough to remain scarce and have no part of Trump's corrupt cabinet that is now, just one month in, riddled with scandal.
