Oh please. The GOP is an extension of the Chamber of Commerce. Just a front for big business and moneyed interests. "globalism" as you call it is at the core of their ideology.

All in all, nothing but a plodding delivery of his stump speech.
To be fair to the low point, Obama did that several times and I am sure Bush 43 did too. It's just typical of these congressional addresses whether it is a SoTU or not.
I'm a Dem and I think he did well. He didn't write the speech but he read it very well. The main thing I don't like is the health care savings accounts and tax credit--how is that going to work for poor people?
Other than that, pretty good. What's he going to do about illegals though--need more specifics. Wall? What about those who are already here illegally--how to get them out.
The poor will be taken care of. No one ever intended them not to be. Have a bit of faith, please. I will stand up with you if they are not.
The truly criminal element within the illegal community will be removed from the country as they should be. We will see what happens with the rest. Some will leave voluntarily I imagine .. but again, I ask all to be a bit patient. Trump doesn't want to intentionally hurt anyone - no matter how you see him. Somehow they will be treated fairly .. we just don't know yet how many we are dealing with and what exactly will have to happen so I am sure he doesn't know yet himself. If we can stem the inflow tide, then I suspect this will be a lot less harsh than most of you have always thought it would be (on regular illegals).
