Spicer's backtracking on Trump's wiretapping language seems meant for the base. A distraction. The plain meaning of the tweets remains intact. Trump made a serious accusation against his predecessor. The former Obama Administration continues to deny the allegations.
This afternoon the DOJ asked for additional time from the House Intelligence Committee to find some evidence ("what if any responsive documents may exist"). Right wing blogs must not count. The Committee isn't backing down. In their response to the DOJ request, the spokesman for Rep. Nunes alluded to possible use of subpoenas.

"We have asked the Department to provide us this information before the committee's open hearing scheduled for March 20. If the committee does not receive a response by then, the committee will ask for this information during the March 20 hearing and may resort to a compulsory process if our questions continue to go unanswered."
McCain is a true American patriot and hero....something tRumpers cannot admit. He didn't dodge serving his country in war like that scaredy cat, President Bonkers.
So he served, fine, no argument. That has noting at all to do with his life past that military service, sucking off the national teat and doing a mediocre to (now) poor job.
Again, it's time for that dinosaur to retire and live off the millions he's amassed from being in office.
I think the Republican base (the posters on this forum, post #4 a good example) don't care about scandal and high treason from one of their own. Republicans used to be honorable, patriotic people, but they have morphed into traitorous scum.
So, now it's "high treason" and yet, with no proof at all... Hypocritical much? How's about waiting for something to be proven just like you and others screeched about whenever Obama's name was brought up with respect to scandals for the last 8 years? Hmmm?
DOJ just needs more time to trump some evidence up.
