Two senior Trump administration officials with direct knowledge of the process told The Daily Beast that Bannon and Trump have taken a “you’re either with us or against us” approach at this point, and that Bannon wants the tally of “against” versus “with us” mounted in his so-called West Wing “war room.”

“Burn the boats,” Bannon (in his typical, pugnacious style) advised Trump, according to one official involved. Burning one’s boats is a reference to when military commanders in hostile territories order his or her troops to destroy their own ships, so that they have to win or die trying.”

This is the real reason Trump wanted the vote to go forward even knowing it wouldn't pass. He wanted those who oppose him on record, so he knows exactly who to go after in the future.

This, my friends, is why the GOP will get nothing accomplished. Trump only cares about "winning." He has no interest in governing, or even attempting to unite his own party, much less the country.

Scary times we live in.

I feel bad for any moderate republicans that vote for Trump. Bannon is a crazy person and is running the White House.

Even most conservatives would agree that this is not how our country should be run...

I have my doubts about any article that uses unnamed sources, but I would expect anyone to take such a position. You need to know who is willing to work with you to get things done, and who is either dead weight, or is outright against you.

Bannon Tells Trump: ‘Keep a Sh*t List’ of Republicans Who Opposed You

Reminds me of the Clinton's "war room"!

Trump and Bannon have nothing to lose. If they implode their party they don't care, they have never had an investment in it, nor do they care for its survival. In fact, Bannon would love to burn down the entire White House if he could.

The Republican Party are a chicken coop, and their leaders are a couple of wolves.

You do realize that in order to get anything done, the party is going to need to be united, right? Or were you asleep for the last week and missed what happens when the party is fractured?

Trump should be trying to bring his party together so they can pass their agenda instead of creating this "you're either with us or you're on our sh*t list" environment.

But hey, I'm good with him not being smart enough to do this. It means there are more epic failures for the GOP going forward. That works for me.

Sounds like the mafia thugs he hung with! What a couple of stomach-turning turds!
