Twitter sued today to protect privacy of account owners. The one listed in the NYT article (sorry can't link) was one of the alternative gov accounts. He didn't like what they said about him.

Yep. Drudge was silenced today and set off a big class action.

Twitter has a monopoly on the town square 2017 style.
Facebook is going to be next getting sued.
Then Google, will be sued for restricting and breaking contracts on google ads and google search accelerators(you will be listed on the 1st page).

Nice blatant lie of a thread title.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection is asking for information on an account posing as a fake government twitter account.

He is going after it because it's critical of him, the same way he went after Parks when they tweeted pix of his inauguration "crowd" and said they weren't authorized to tweet any more.

the account in no way pretends to be a true govt account.

It's a slippery slope.

It's not Trump, it's the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency, and they want information on a twitter account posing as a government account.

You dems only discredit yourselves with these blatant lies.

Government employees revealing criminal acts are protected as whistleblowers.

Furthermore, Trump should get used to opposition. He's the president, not a dictator. People are going to disagree with him, say mean things about him, and undermine his actions. He should get out of the kitchen if he can't handle the heat. Maybe he can go pretend he is invading Syria with his toy soldier set in the living room

Default Dept. of Homeland Security Attempts to Stifle Online Criticism of Trump Administration

Twitter filed a lawsuit today to block an order by the U.S. government demanding it reveal the identity behind an account that opposes Trump's immigration policies. Esha Bhandari of the ACLU, who is representing Twitter in the case, says the request is highly unusual. Requests for social media information by the government typically involve issues of national security or criminal charges.

"We have seen no reason the government has given for seeking to unmask this speaker's identity," Bhandari said, adding that the right to anonymous speech against the government is "a bedrock American value" strongly protected under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution."

I guess we can't take our First Amendment rights for granted with this administration.

Time for another donation to the ACLU.

The account is posing as a government twitter account, and the person behind the account may have violated the law with their fake government account.

But hey, don't let the facts get in the way of your lies.
