Furthermore, Trump should get used to opposition. He's the president, not a dictator. People are going to disagree with him, say mean things about him, and undermine his actions. Twitter filed a lawsuit today to block an order by the U.S. government demanding it reveal the identity behind an account that opposes Trump's immigration policies. Esha Bhandari of the ACLU, who is representing Twitter in the case, says the request is highly unusual. Requests for social media information by the government typically involve issues of national security or criminal charges.
"We have seen no reason the government has given for seeking to unmask this speaker's identity," Bhandari said, adding that the right to anonymous speech against the government is "a bedrock American value" strongly protected under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution."
The account is posing as a government twitter account, and the person behind the account may have violated the law with their fake government account.
