looks as if Trump admin is putting out exactly the story an admin would put out given the situation.
I would hardly expect them to say "they are fighting it out" or "yeah it is tooth and nail."

This is exactly the message Trump team wants.
The reality is Trump's first 11 weeks have been a disaster on a scale we have not seen in our lives. Trump has the lowest public support for almost any modern president in early first term.
It is a disaster for America and a disaster for the Right. All 3 and they can't organize a thing.

Thursday's reports hinted at a peace pipe was being prepared. Friday's reports hinted Trump forced both of them to a come-to-Jesus set down between them to hash it out once and for all.
Now Saturday's reports hint that the set down failed.
My bet is Trump will choose family first. Ivanka's most obviously his favorite child, and that alone puts her husband a few notches up in this matter than the others.
His base? Trump doesn't worry about his base. He knows all he has to do his hold a rally and all is well once again with his voters. That won't change until he throws a rally and no one shows up for it.
Trump realized he was fixing to lose his entire base because of his son-in-law. He told that guy to shape up or he would be fired.

Bannon will be the loser in this battle. Bannon is already off the security council.And its not over between Bannon and Kushner, especially with Ivanka backing Kushners positions rather than just being a silent daddy's daughter that happens to sleep with Kushner.

General McMasters has commanded in combat in 3 different nations and is not about to be trifled with by a fat nihilist with no known address.
There was a power play inside the NSC after Flynn turned out to be shady, and McMasters won completely. Bannon didn't train McMasters- he got his butt kicked up around his ears by McMasters.
