Another thing that's not going to save any lives, yet is going to kill my business with international tourists this summer. Thanks Trump!

They have won a long time ago, thanks to both parties' meddling of other countries' business.

Here's the reality -- immigration officers have always had a great deal of leeway with regards to what they could ask a visitor about and how they could detain someone.

And the reality -- any REAL terrorist would not have a social media account that could be identified by an American Customs Officer.

They 'announce' this stuff for drama and show....see see how we are protecting you. pfft.

Citizens or non-citizens, people at the borders have very few rights, certainly not the rights to unreasonable searches. Customs agents can search with or without warrant in anyway they want.
The legality is not in question. Back when I was a young'un, people would brave traveling to the Soviet Union and completely expect their suitcases to be rifled through for subversive books and the like. But that was simply considered a reflection of Soviet values.

Sad. It'd be pretty easy for actual terrorist to get around. Meanwhile, we all have to suffer this invasion of privacy.

Before traveling internationally, change your passwords to "thisTSAagentlikestosuckd".

The idea that they have to type it in will at least give a good laugh... we'll, at least until they take you to the strip search room.

Unfortunately, I'm just going to avoid international travel.

So they are going to cut the TSA and increase the amount of invasive and time-consuming procedures.

Dumb, dumb and dumber.
