If you have a village of 10 people, and they're voting for a mayor, 8 live in town, and 2 live out on the outskirts of town on farms. You really think those 2 outskirt residents have the voting power of 5 townspeople? That's what it comes down to, literally. Sorry, but the lesson here is, people vote, not grass or dirt

Why do Dems like to cry "But Hillary won the popular vote!!!" Over and over again.

It's a mandate gauge. We're repeatedly told won by a "yuge" landslide, when not only he lost the popular vote, but did you know that the GOP actually LOST seats in the House? Trump won through clever campaigning. That much is fair. Hilary won a "moral victory", which means Trump may have legitimately won, but he's not as popular as you think he is. Last time the GOP assumed this was the case was when Bush was president, and your party suffered a crushing defeat in the Congress later on.

So actually, I hope the GOP does their usual overreach whenever they let victory get in their heads. Trump would have to play ball with a Democratic Congress

Has nothing to do with the topic. Grass and cows don't vote. Did you respect Obama when he was your president?

Trump won because he outsmarted Hillarys campaign. Think he would of won if he campaigned in Texas 70% of the time like HRC did in California?

It's the same reason why Obama beat Hillary back in 2008 despite receiving less votes.

It doesn't mean what they think it means, but it doesn't mean nothing. There are huge swaths of the US where the Democrats have been uncompetitive for 6 years now. That's a huge problem and if Dems can't fix it next year, there's no chance of taking back the House.

Uhmm...earn it.

Anyways as for the topic on hand...its because its one of the few ways they can try and make it appear that he has a mandate for extreme changes. Reality is-he doesnt.

And? What does that matter? Californians are less American than someone from Arkansas?
