The governments of the world are spending billions on the "climate change", and want to generate trillions in carbon taxes. Do you think that may "influence" researchers?
Absolutely! They know who butters their bread. If there is no climate disaster looming, there is less need for climate researchers.
Some science is settled. Columbus laid to rest the flat earth theory five hundred yeas ago. Helio-centric theory of the solar system seems to be pretty well settled at this point. The earth is older than seven thousand years. Etc. Etc.
Exactly! Vaccine science is pretty settled too. Vaccines have been around since 1798 (smallpox), and have eliminated spx and are close to eliminating polio.

Big oil spends billions each year to distort the debate on climate change - and apparently it has worked. 30 years ago the smoking industry covered up research that said smoking was harmful. Soda companies do the same with research on sugar.
The fact that we even have to debate the existence of climate change is proof BP's propaganda is having an effect.
