The MSM is dominated by liberals. Evening news shows like ABC, NBC or CBS have always had strong liberal angle and usually hire ex democrat hacks to work for them. CNN claims to be fair like you said but they now are more left than the evening news outlets. The Sunday morning shows like Meet the press have a liberal host, one or two conservatives and the rest liberal. MSNBC with their lean forward slogan they had is clearly very liberal. At least unlike the others is honest. If you are going to present hard news which is suppose to be without opinion and bias then do it, don't call it hard news but do it from a liberal perspective.

The vast majority of television that has any news or commentary to it is on the left. Even ESPN. All the evening news, CNN, MSNBC, almost all major newspapers, all late night talk show hosts and even the prime time shows have a liberal point of view in telling their stories. To say there is some balance because of FOX news, WSJ or a few Conservative talk show hosts is delusional.

I am for the free market and not telling television networks what they have to air. Let the viewers decide that by what they want to see.
If Republicans are so good at business and making money, why don't they start more networks of their own? Viewers ARE deciding what they want to see. You can watch or not watch.

Also, conservatives bash the arts but act surprised that media and the entertainment industry don't lean their way.

Sounds like conservatives want media welfare.

I'll tell you why..... Because the "liberal media" PRETENDS like it isn't Liberal. They call out "right-wing" news but never acknowledge that they themselves are "left-wing" news. They pretend like they're straight down the middle when they're not, and then criticize right-wing media for being right-wing.

Yes, the coasts have a lot of liberal media and entertainment.
And where are ALL the "mainstream" media outlets headquartered? The coasts.

And the South and middle America have a lot of the exact opposite: conservative media and entertainment.
Name me one national news outlet that is headquartered anywhere in the south?

You never hear liberals say "I wish Rush Limbaugh would cover XYZ to appeal to us more".
Rush Limbaugh is a Conservative and doesn't pretend to be a straight up reporter. Where he stands is very clear. He's an activist.

Why do conservatives care so much about what liberal media does when conservatives have such a wide range of conservative media to consume?
Let's not pretend like all things are equal here. There aren't just as many Conservative outlets as there are Liberal outlets. Even the Conservative outlets are headquartered in Liberal strongholds like New York City.

But I think we're discussing the wrong issue here. The real crime is that there are partisan media outlets to begin with. Facts and truth don't have a bias, and when they are presented with a bias, they are no longer facts, they're opinion and activism. Facts aren't Conservative or Liberal, they're just facts.

It might be because they'd rather do their misbehaving in more privacy than a network affords? After all, jim bakker, roger ailes, o'reilly, etc., all brought a stain of... well, you know... to their respective "conservative" networks. That might be why a lot of "conservative sources" are all those tin hat loonies who post utube videos from their basements.

The fact that he didn't wave is pointed out is not made a criminal offense -- if conservatives can't see the humor in the no wave....well God Bless your Sweet Little Tender Hearts. We are sorry.

Here is a related question: Why do conservatives whine about universities being too liberal? Why don't they take jobs as professors or open more conservative universities, like where they teach about the flat Earth, creationist "science" and have trade schools specializing in building Arks?

They ARE very delicate. It is why they love the snowflake meme, so much. Because of the "I know you are, but what am I" mentality.

And why the only guy to shoot up a restaurant over a ludicrous fake news story was, you guessed it, conservative.

Reporters are educated. Academics are educated. That's why they are liberal. They look at information, history and the like and think things like, huh Bush never balanced the budget. But Clinton and Obama did. Huh, social justice seems like a good thing not just self interest. Huh allowing banks to browbeat people into variable rate mortgages sounds like a bad idea.

There are 2 kinds of conservatives. The ones using the dumb ones for their own profit and the dumb ones.

This is why as a Moderate, my go-to new source is Fox News.. not because the conservative media is any better but there's so much liberal bias in the news all around us so I seek a conservative source for balance every time I voluntarily search for news to read or watch.
