False......the leftist main stream media.........mislead the American people that Sessions lied.
He explained why he answered Frankens question the way he did as it was asked in the context of whether or not he met with Russians to collude somehow on the election as was being reported.
He was extremely clear today that he never had any meeting to collude with any Russian about the election.
He cant be any more clear than that.

I watched his Senate confirmation hearing and have watched the exchange with Franken several times.
Frankel did not ask him about collusion.
Al Franken asked Sessions what he would do if he learned of any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of the 2016 campaign.
Sessions clearly volunteered that he himself had no communications with Russians.
This was a lie.
He did not correct it until it was reported in the media.
Sessions said he never spoke to Comey about the "terrible job" Comey was doing running the FBI before he was fired.
Sessions said he never spoke to Comey how he handled the Clinton investigation. And in fact Sessions said Comey did the exact right thing in handling that investigation.
So Sessions gave his "reasons" for firing Comey, and he was so concerned over these issues to the point of firing Comey, but never spoke to Comey about those issues.
And then Trump threw him and Rosenstein under the bus and admitted on television that he fired Comey because of the "Russia thing" and confirmed it the next day when he spoke to Lavrov.
What would be the point in discussing with someone their poor judgement when they were repeatedly going to Congress and doubling down on that poor judgement?
Campaign is not a person. If the campaign was found guilty who would go to jail ? They have to pin a crime on a person and the person gets the punishment not the campaign. The campaign is history. Put it in jail if you want too.
You do realize that people associated with campaign are still responsible for the actions they took while working for the campaign, right? Just because the campaign is over, it's like "tag" and they are safe now because they are "on base".
We still have to hear from Flynn, Manafort, Page, Kushner and more.
