US Military says it won't be cowed by Russian threats to shoot at American planes. They will defend themselves if fired upon. (or maybe even targeted)
It's good to see the US Military stand up for itself again now that Trump is in command.
First of all, The US military presence in Syria is illegal.
And it's NOT good to see the US Military openly helping ISIS. Yes, US military will bravely defend those animals and even ready to go to war with Russia to help them. But who can be proud of such stupid inglorious courage?
I bet the Russkies don't have the nerve to carry out thier threat. If they shoot down a US jet they risk war. We should put some aggressive patrols out there just to make the point that we are not going to tolerate thier threat, nor react to it. No way they will act, hopefully president Trump will call the bluff.
I would have liked to see the plane shot down before it dropped its bomb. I know why it wasn't.
Next time one is warned off and doesn't comply it shouldn't be given the opportunity to drop its payload.
This has the potential to escalate into something nobody wants. This is what happens when we put our nose into places our nose doesn't belong.
The question is: Is Syria worth one drop of American blood? IMO no.

Well..by that logic..Russia's presence is illegal also. Before you defend with 'Assad asked them in'--remember that not everyone believes that Assad is the legitimate ruler of Syria.
Russia is just there protecting their interests...just like us.
US is not 'helping ISIS'..every-time I see one of you post that, I lose a little respect for you.
Anti-Assad does not equal ISIS. That is Russian and Syrian propaganda.
Russia had best back off and re-assess the situation..before they get a rude awakening as to the realities of the modern battlefield.
