Not one bit of credible information presented that anyone on the left disapproves let alone has Obama "under fire."
This forum is filling up with these ridiculous threads in an obvious attempt to drown out any coherent discussion of where our nation is headed.
Another post from someone who didn't read the link. You should at least read through the other posts before you take such a stance. Other posters tried to say the same thing and were corrected.
If tax payers are paying for these supposed luxury vacations i suppose one can protest but if its coming out of his pocket you got nothing to say, good for you Mr President, enjoy.

I did read through the thread. There was not one shred of credible evidence presented that Obama is under fire from the left.
He's been under fire from the right for a decade, so that's hardly worth commenting on.
There has been a feeling within the DNC and certain other sectors for sometime now that Obama did little to cultivate a "bench" while in office, and is doing less now to help the DNC when they sorely can use assistance. Instead much of whatever "rock star" status BO has or had is going towards his own purposes.
Part of the democrats problems started nearly after the 2008 and certainly by the 2012 elections; that superstar status of Obama wasn't holding and not helping democrats as they thought it would. Yes, BO himself proved popular, but down race often was a different matter.
While it isn't good form for a recently term limited out POTUS to actively get out on the stump and criticize current administration, BO is taking that hands off policy a bit too far for some; worse they see his jet setting vacations akin to Nero playing the violin as Rome burns.
Part of this the DNC brought down upon themselves. Having anointed and vested so much effort into the Clintons and assuming HC would win the WH they now are left with not only a weak to nil bench, but rather an empty "throne" so to speak. Simply put that party does not have yet anyone credible to lead the party and focus efforts. What they do have are the same old (and tired ) people like Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and by now even Elizabeth Warren.
Say what you want but the GOP spent the past eight or so years clearing decks and bringing in new faces. It hasn't helped them to govern any easier, but at least there is new blood.
Mr. Obama looks around and sees that the country, by electing the idiot they've now elected, rejected everything that he stood for.
The DNC, by defaulting back to HC, basically treated his presidency as an interruption in their carefully laid plans.
Where was the support down ticket over those eight years for his agenda? As far as I could see, it was always lukewarm at best. Is it any surprise that they lay down and ceded their roles to the GOP?
What does or should he feel he owes the "establishment" now?
The man was elected twice. He tried to do that job for better or worse.
He is entitled to spend his time now however he wishes.
....Democratic strategist Pat Caddell, HBO host John Oliver, and Dr. David Michael Smith of the Houston Socialist Movement certainly aren't on the right.
I have no beef with Obama. I hope he continues to do it, and that such progressives continue to be upset by his travel/style of travel.

The link includes direct quotes from people on the left themselves (in addition to text written by the Fox News rep) who aren't thrilled.
And to that I say "so what?"
Let them get off their collective derrieres and do something.
Has anyone in the GOP faulted W for retiring to Texas to spend his days painting?
Why is Obama expected to have a more activist role?
There's been nothing but double-standards from the right and the left since the man was elected.
Obama certainly doesn't seem interested in returning to his home of Chicago where he was an agitator to do something to improve the lives of the poor in those very violent neighborhoods.
He's like "I got mine" and that's that.
