A missed oppurtunity
Do you think Obama had this as a plan? The increase in racial division and the more rights for other minority groups? And his finacial status.
Or it came into play while he was in office?
BO rode into the WH saying words to the effect of he was an African-American who became POTUS, not POTUS for African-Americans. Fair enough one supposes and if his point was to assuage fears in certain sectors BO would use the WH to push through some sort of "pro-Black" agenda, largely reasonable. However as the years unfolded again one does not believe the man paid nearly as much attention to the AA community as LGBT.
Obama is not president. Trump is. What's at issue is all the vacations Trump is taking. Obama can spend billions of dollars on vacation if he wants. It's his money and he's not a government employee anymore.
Because he's a Democrat. Trump is allowed to charge the country more in one month than Obama in a year or more in a year than Obama in two terms - but if Obama pays for his own vacations, it's an outrage because Fox News is writing the story.
Obama gets unbelievably good press. Don't act like he's a victim. This isn't even about Fox News. It's about Democrats being upset with Obama's vacations. What on earth do they expect him to do? He already talks too much about the current administration.
As for him not cultivating a bench (above post), it really isn't his job to do that. He thought passing a healthcare bill would get more voters as people became dependent on it, but health insurance is not healthcare. My employer-based insurance premiums doubled and unless it is an emergency, there is no way I can afford the deductible for any medical procedure (even necessary though non life threatening ones like physical therapy). That doesn't fix the problem, and it's reduced our income.
