Jackie O a gold digger? Not when she married JFK, they seemed pretty equal. But as a widow with small children to raise I begrudge her nothing. Only admiration.

She married Onassis so that her children could have the protection his money afforded.
Absolutely true. But thus far she always seems to be in the shadows of Donald, unlike others as recent as Michelle Obama who seemed to be separate from Barrack and doing so much on her own.
That must be a long shadow The Donald cast. She stayed in NYC for five months or so waiting for school to end for her son.
Michelle Obama didn't do a dam thing but plant a garden at the White House her first six months. What an accomplishment !!! She did what my family has done for 50 years. You state Michelle seemed to be separate from her husband, yet, she was right next to him in the White House. They were both digging in dirt like the worms they are. Someone should have told Michelle she can't grow socialist. She has to take the dirt and mold them.
Doing so much on her own. What a joke. I thought this was going to be a serious thread. If it ,the truth is, Michelle, clearly, has no more to show for her first six months.
With many First Ladies across several centuries, how do you think Melania will be viewed in the history of First Ladies? I know not even a year has passed since she became First Lady, so the jury is still out. This is more of a forward looking question.
We only have history books (oh wait, I'm old - let's make that modern and say Google) to decide amongst all of the First Ladies ever. Since 1960 when I was born, based on many factors from simple "stage presence" to their involvement with being a representative for our country and active across many fronts, I think we've had several decent ones despite of their POTUS husbands (good or bad). Kennedy, Obama, Reagan - all I feel were decent in their "roles".
In my opinion, because of Donald Trump I don't believe Melania stands a chance of being thought of as anything but a trophy First Lady for Donald, even if she is capable of being something really good.
It's clear that tRump doesn't hold her in high esteem. She has no real presence and is making no impact at all. As for her accomplishments, other than soft porn, she has none. She's more of a tragic figure than an inspiration or role model.
So, she'll go down in history as nothing more than the plaything of this nation's worst joke of a president.

Gee, you shouldn't be so coy about how you feel about her.
It wasn't "just a garden". In a time when people are worried about obesity, she brought back a White House garden, inspiring people to try growing their own food and get some exercise. Even just a little bit helps when some kids can't even identify many veggies. It has also led to many school and community gardens across the country.
Also, if we're going to compare efforts...at least she did a garden. Melania has been off in NY, not even living in the White House until recently. Now, if she just wants to be Barron's mom, that's fine too. But make a fair comparison if you're gonna denigrate Michelle for "only" doing a garden.

angry that people dare criticize America??? : sorry but America isn't the perfect little country you want it to be. And to fix any issue, you first have to admit you have a problem! Goodness, you Republicans are so hapless

Few are more critical than patriotic Americans. One can criticize without disrespecting America. It was the first amendment where it was guaranteed that America and its institutions would be criticized. A small difference those that want to destroy can't comprehend apparently. See how the problem is identified ?
Like to old saying goes : If you want to see the problem, look in the mirror.
Obama was a work horse, not a show horse. He had ample personality for the job, and was a devoted husband and father.
He seem to be more of a show horse and lead from behind. No wonder so many think he was a horses ass.
The work he did in eight years has nearly been totally undone in six months. Sounds like a poor example of workmanship. Spending so much time and can't produce something lasting. His major accomplishment is in the jaws of death. Michelle wore the pants in that family. I'll give ya that !!!
Well she's the first pornographic model to become First Lady so I'm sure she'll have a special place in our history.
The hyporacy !!!
