Yeah no

The Democrats lost more seats under Obama than any other president

The Democrats were confident they were taking back the Senate and keeping the presidency. They were not saying "well the pendulum swings both ways"

The point remains they has control. Just as they did under Clinton and at other time throughout history. Now if you really believe this buffoon will somehow rewrite history feel free, as I said everyone is entitled to their opinion. But you better learn how to handle it better when you are challenged on that opinion.

based on how condescending and arrogant they are acting you would think they were the winners of the last election. Not the ones that lost to a reality TV star and have the lost a record number of seats and have the lowest power since the 1920s
Oh, so it is all you have to offer.

Good to know for sure...

Totally valid questions. Although I don't think beating a President with a 39% approval rating is going to be difficult.

The democrats don't have to do anything dramatic. What they have to do is hang together. The left fringe has to understand beating Trump is more important than getting a woman or minority in office. The moderates in the democrat party have to understand that Hillary Clinton was much of the reason they lost. Had they nominated someone without her baggage it would have been a very different race with a different outcome.

Democrat candidates abound. Many democratic state governors would be good candidates for President. I would suggest a platform like this one:

1. The minimum wage shall be increased to $10 an hour in 2021 and to $12.50 an hour by 2024.

2. The Affordable Care Act should be strengthened and Medicare shall be allowed to bargain with pharmaceutical companies for a best price for all medications.

3. A tax increase that is primarily aimed at the estate tax shall be implemented. All estates greater than $1,000,000 in value shall be taxed. Increased tax rates shall be implemented for estates already paying a tax. Deductions on the income tax shall be limited for all those earning $250,000 a year and more. The top tax rate should be raised to 40%.

4. Health care through the VA for America's veterans must be improved.

5. A new direction is required in foreign affairs. We should shore up our relationships with allies like Germany, France, and Britain. NATO is our most important alliance in the world. We should treat it that way. Our relationships with European countries need repair after the damage that Trump has done.

6. Reforms preserving Medicare and Social Security for extended periods need to be implemented.

7. We need to make it easier for young people to attend college. The expense is out of sight. States should be encourage to resist tuition hikes at public universities. We also have neglected trade schools. We need to send more people to these schools to learn skills fit for the twenty-first century.

Nothing here is very radical. Its the kind of agenda though that will make for a "fairer America". Also, its coherent. I can't tell what Trump and his buddies are trying to do.

You're free to read my other posts to see what I've offered. If you genuinely see no difference in substance from what I tend to post about to what this guy posts about, then there's nothing further to discuss.

History students will look back at a President and hear him brag about assaulting women, learn how he tried to circumvent an impartial investigation by firing those who didn't try to turn it his way, read about his infamous Wall that was never built and they will simply laugh at us for putting such a man in the White House.

And just like the Paterno apologists all the Cult's cries and protests won't change anything, both of their legacies are set in stone. And that will never change.
Yeah but in the meantime we all need to suffer the impact of this Fake President and his immoral corrupt crew.

It is so early that's impossible to determine now. I mean Trump wasn't on the radar in 2013 right? I'll throw out the name Joe Biden. The worst thing to happen to this country was the death of his son. Had he run, without the baggage of that witch Hillary, I'm confident he would have won.
