If Trump is impeached for a bogus reason, I predict that this country will enter in to a full blown Civil War, and that the Russians will come clean up the mess.

It won't be for a bogus reason, so you can relax and enjoy the show.
yep. in that improbable scenario secret service would launch him out the door like a night club bouncer.
my guess, if we get near that point, is that trump would step down then deny, deflect and whine.
I can see it now. His private security force going into "Corregidor mode" and refusing to give up the fortress. What a wet-dream that would be for the TV news people. All the viewing records would be broken. People around the world, would enjoy watching it as much as 80% of us would.
In the Trump supporters dream world this is all because we don't like him. That makes it easy to dismiss.
But the reality is it doesn't matter how likable he is, his campaign (and by extension, Trump himself) is being investigated for possible criminal activity. That is not easy to dismiss, no matter how hard you try.
Laughable! Thanks for admitting that the "investigation" is in search of a "possible" crime. Normally, investigations happen after a crime. This is an investigation in search of a crime, as you just admitted. And after more than a year of wasting taxpayer money, hiring over a dozen lawyers (all of them Democrats) and with a "special counsel" that ought to have refused to take the job because of his close personal relationship with a key witness (James Comey) in violation of law, this "investigation" has found no evidence of "collusion" or any illegal activity ...but they're still trying, so we must not "dismiss his possible criminal activity."
Is this the way it now works in America? We reserve the right to impeach the President because he may have been involved in some criminal activity, though we haven't yet found any.
This must be a new standard. Meanwhile, we know what crimes Hillary Clinton committed, and they are very serious, putting our national security at risk. Yet she was given a pass, and has not yet been held accountable for her crimes. See, it seems laws do not apply to Democrats.
Hillary will be wearing an orange jumpsuit and Obama will be awaiting sentencing long before Trump is removed from office by some bought and paid for special council stacked with political enemies, off on a side trail.
Some hapless person will get the martha stewart treatment. No conviction for original charges, prison for inconsistent statements.
the banana republic justice system under obama is at work here and deserves no respect. You cannot let hillary walk and obama's treason go unpunished and then pretend to be a holier than thou justice system.
The swamp creatures at work.
Hillary lost, Trump won, dems trying to take down the government with no basis for a special council.
you have not been following have you Skeddy? Any POTUS who obstructs justice becomes likely to be impeached, and while you might not like it, i am betting the democrats did not like Ken going after Clinton over a sex scandal when that investigation was supposed to be about money...
Trump has so many dirty dealings the GOP may have little choice but assist with impeachment, otherwise they allow the dems to do the same for the next 200 years...
Which Republican Senators will join the Democrats to impeach Trump?
If they do, it will be the end of the GOP for a generation or two.
I wouldn't 'bet the farm' on that ~ even the biggest scandals apparently do not kill loyalty to party ~ apparently too there's such a thing as 'zombie parties'. The American people are fortunate in that there are so few scenarios analogous to the present dilemma, however the rarity of the situation naturally creates an understandable atmosphere of uncertainty. The following piece reviews the 3 most recent & arguably the biggest scandals & gives an idea of context & timeline. Enter stage right ~ President Nixon:
Quote:
...Even as Nixon aides resigned and the Watergate controversy grew around the president in 1973, many congressional Republicans were arguing that the investigations of the president were overly aggressive. Two future GOP presidents, George H.W. Bush (then chairman of the Republican National Committee) and Reagan (then governor of California), called Nixon and assured him that he could get through the scandal. Things escalated in October 1973 when Nixon ordered the firing of the special prosecutor investigating his administration, leading both the attorney general and deputy attorney general to resign, in what is now known as the “Saturday Night Massacre.”
But Nixon retained party loyalists in Congress even after that dramatic move to stop those investigating him.
...Nixon resigned before the full House voted on impeachment, partly because Republican officials finally began abandoning him. But Nixon didn’t step down until Aug. 8, 1974, more than two years after the Watergate break-in.
...These were three of the biggest scandals in modern American history, and party loyalty stayed strong almost through the end of each. ...
Even The Biggest Scandals Can’t Kill Party Loyalty
It's interesting watching this mess. I notice the whole Russian fairy is off the table. Trump knew he hadn't done anything wrong, but what Trump didn't know is DC is loaded with ethical tripwires...step on one and bam...instant obstruction charges. So this whole thing was a setup by the Democrats and the never-Trumpers. There was never any collusion, the whole thing was bs. But they did get Trump to blunder into a potential obstruction charge, and if they do vote him out I agree with Michael Savage...Millions of Americans will revolt if the globalists remove President Trump from office or render him powerless, radio host Michael Savage warned.
If you're saying 'we live in interesting times' you'd get no argument from me there. Your other claims? All I'll say, at this point, is that history doesn't necessarily repeat, although it sure does seem to have a tendency to 'rhyme'.
