As far as I can tell the rally was a group of people that assembled to peaceably petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Generally when a group petitions the government which fought a World War against Nazis for a redress of grievances they are not waving swastikas and Confederate flags around and giving Nazi salutes. Did I miss something?

No one has to say it. It's allowed because EEOC, AA and disparate impact and discrimination or victim claims are only really honored if the person is black or non-white and almost never for a white person.
