Cenk, a Bernie sycophant, is well known to young Progressives. It is no surprise older Democrats have never heard of him.

His tweet speaks to the Us vs Them mindset of Progressives. If you aren't a member of 'their' group and disagree with them on the issues, you must be punished even as those fellow Americans suffer loss of life and property in a natural disaster. Pretty cruel mindset.

Lost in all of this is one of Cenk's biggest causes, which I think most on both sides can back.

His PAC, WolfPAC, is trying to get a constitutional convention to undo the Citizens United ruling, which I think was one of the worst decisions the SCOTUS ever made

That ruling was just fine when Obama wanted to raise a billion dollars for his campaign. It was also ok when Hillary wanted that much. Now that she lost, it's bad again.

Cenk has the argumentative skills of a 5th grader. He constantly embarrasses himself by virtue signalling to ideas that don't really add up in the real world.

He basically went and doxxed the black dude who was at the Trump rally last week and claimed that if you're a black Trump voter, you're crazy. His talking points make little to no sense half of the time.

The Young Turks were good when they weren't backed by big corporations, but since then they've been nothing but just talking points.

You Lefties cannot have it both ways.

If the NeoNazi loons, by supporting Trump, make Trump and all conservatives Klan or Nazis, then, according to your own loopy logic, because The Young Jerk supported Hilliary, Hilliary and all Leftists must be loons.
Try re-reading (or just reading...) this thread again: not one person denied Cenk being a "lefty." They're saying they either don't know who he is (makes sense; the Young Turks aren't actually that popular) or don't care for him.

Aslo, words like "lefty" were introduced for people who's intelligence pretty much capped at watching football would be able to kind of participate in politics. You should stop using those words as you might get confused with those people, and we wouldn't want that.

I'm a middle-aged lifelong Dem and have never heard of this guy. Sorry to disappoint. Then again, I never heard of Soros until I came to this board and learned he owed me money for all the protests and rallies I've attended.

Hmmm...
Things that show up in your recommended videos aren't necessarily showing up for everyone else. Just so you are aware.

Aslo, his tweet that is apparently the focus on this "discussion" isn't really that controversial. Stupid, sure, but it's not like he said "Jews will not replaced us" or something truly ****ed up. He just made a dumb comment. It really wouldn't be worth lying about not liking him in this scenario.

It's sort of mind-boggling to me that so many people claim to have not heard of him. He's one of the foremost arch-progressives (just don't ask him about the Armenian Genocide...) on the web. And no, I definitely don't say that to mean he represents *all* progressives, left-of-centers, Democrats, liberals, etc.

To me he's been unavoidable, at least in passing, for the better part of a decade. I don't like his style nor his ideas, and I've probably listened to 50+ hours of him. The Tweet in question is par for him, nothing singular.

But then I'd be hard-pressed to name you more than a couple people on CNN+MSNBC+FoxNews because I don't watch television. Only the ones who make it to clips on YT or Minds or other online avenues register. Different strokes I guess, but it's kind of telling to me that the megacorp vanilla media has only just now discovered Antifa, for example.

Well, that's just it - not everyone lives on the web. Apparently this guy is some sort of Youtube star or something... I only go to Youtube a couple of times a month to listen to obscure music or watch a cat video or two. To me, that's all Youtube is good for. I just don't have much interest in most of the crap on the internet.

...and? I don't watch YouTubes unless I have to fix or repair something and need a demo or want to see a music video.

Otherwise nada. It's like watching home movies or public access tv--anyone can blather on about anything, so pretty meaningless noise.

I don't even watch the YouTubes on the forum when people post them because they are too lazy to actually write a post as to the content.

So you can Hmmmmm.... all you like, but I never heard of the guy, and I believe the others who haven't as well.
