Forcing someone to use the fruits of their labor to produce something for another is clearly slavery.

You belittle the plight of actual slaves with this kind of talk.

The baker opened that business freely, and no one has demand that he work for no compensation.

I think the guy is being a jackass
I think the guy is being a hypocrite

I also think a lot less people would criticize him if he refused to make a sexually explicit cake. I chose sexually explicit for a reason. It's not as universally accepted as bad as something like a nazi cake, so I think it's a better comparison to same-sex marriage.

The question then becomes, is making a wedding cake for a same-sex couple similar to making a sexually explicit cake. Is depicting, say, two grooms on a cake similar to depicting genitalia on a cake? Or is depicting two men's (or two women's) names on a cake similar to depicting genitalia on a cake?

Why, because people who were chattel slaves wish to inflict other forms of slavery on others?

The US definition of indentured servitude is that if service is required for more than solely compensation it is indentured servitude. So avoiding a lawsuit because... REASONS, is more than solely compensation, therefore it is considered by US law to be indentured servitude.

Indentured servitude is recognized with peonage as a form of slavery by most enlightened societies (including the US surprisingly).

That is not the definition of the word slave. Hence, why your use of that word is so flawed.

so again, dial back on the rhetoric and have a real conversation.

Since the bold is not fulfilled, that means you are wrong by your own definition.

I have less of an issue if they are at least sincere and consistent, I do have an issue with those who select the part of their religion that they like and ignore the rest. Hypocrites like Kim Davis (Clerk from Kentucky) who was married 4 times and had twins out of wedlock should not be judging anyone.
