Ken
I'm sure that a sternly worded tweet is forthcoming.

WHY is that?
Probably because the problem doesn't have an acceptable solution.
The problem started under Reagan, continued under the first Bush, then under Clinton, then under the second Bush, then under Obama, now under Trump. NONE of the previous Presidents could solve the problem and it's unlikely that Trump will either.
The Donald is getting a rude awakening on sooooooooooo many fronts. It's REAL EASY to tweet criticism of others, it's a whole 'nother ball game to have to actually SOLVE THE PROBLEMS yourself.
Welcome to the big leagues Mr Trump.
So far you're striking out.

Ken
Its obvious Kim is rattled. It cries of desperation. Who knows how much info from the west seeps into NK. Perhaps more that we think. Kim's whole goal with all of this is keeping his people in line, not going to war. Its one big show and for some reason he is upping the ante. Perhaps Trump's tough talk from nicey nice Obama is making a difference.

North Korea isn’t stupid. They have a nuclear weapon (or two). They really don’t want to use in on South Korea, because thats what they hope to take over, what do you want, an city or a nuclear blasted wasteland? They also know they don’t have the capability of nuking the United States (yet anyway) and really they cant trust the accuracy of their missiles too much. So what do you do? You nuke Japan, which your missiles CAN reach, and Japan is big enough so they wont miss. Japan is a US ally, so its fine. There are American troops in Japan (usually) so its okay. Problem over, threaten Japan, US goes home, you take over South Korea. If the South Koreans don’t like it, you threaten them with a nuke or two.

I think i can agree with the above. Nothing will really happen though.
Geez, lilyflower, thatś a scary thought.

Even without outside help, Japan is in a far better position. North Korea would only be able to hold on a bit longer against just Japan.

Japan has more storage area for advanced equipment. And even though claims to be without nukes, Japan has some serious other types of technologies. Their soldiers are very capable too. They know their tactics very well.

But it is better for Japan to stay low key. NK will not do anything. Just allow them to fly the test missile, so all countries can look at and study them.

This is what NK taught their citizens, "liberating the South Koreans." LOL

They use this to control their own citizens. I don't know why people worry about them so much.

My friends are Japanese, and they are worried. They are young though, so itś new to them to have these warnings. NK does not have an accident free track record.

I can see most people not taking him seriously. I think about the accident or two if heś flying them over Japan on a regular basis.
I bet they're scared! I just meant from the US we still feel far enough removed from it that it's more anger than fear at the moment. But I'm on the West coast, so whenever we have major thunderstorms I can't help but wonder for a second if it's NK attacking us. And I'm going to Korea and Japan in a few months so I'm definitely anxious about that too.

I hope he has improved aim. One accident will become an all out war in seconds.

Just like China vs Taiwan, all bargaining chip.

Meanwhile, all my friends stationed in Japan are having a fun time. I don't worry about them, I worry about the friends in Middle East countries.
