for what it's wroth, "the left" doesn't do anything as they are not a unified whole. The premise of this statement is based on a misunderstanding of how politics works.
Ben Sharpio also believes in "the left" so I don't really have a lot of respect for someone who advocates for a dishonest theory of politics. I actually think it's quite disgusting. On a similar note, I did used to have a certain level of respect for him until I looked into his radio show, where such topics as "John Lennon's imagine is evil and leftist" were being discussed and realized that he's just a Tomi Lahren who's good at sounding smart. He caters to an audience too stupid to handle nuance. I don't think he's a white supremacist, but he's not worthy of my defense. He brands everyone a leftists, so as far as I'm concerned, he can defend himself from those criticisms. I have no desire to get involved.
Another note, is that many conservatives today clarify and differentiate between "Liberal" ala MLK, Free Speech etc. and many of today's "Left" who are radical, regressive, anti capitalism etc.
This is a good read... most "Liberals" I've known are not the Antifa hysterical types. (btw, I'm way more liberal than Ben, and I'm a huge fan of his!)
I've been hearing the MSM in radio etc. often refers to Ben as "former Breitbart editor" which of course paints a negative picture in many people's minds when in fact he was very vocal about his dislike of Bannon coming on board and pandering to the Alt Right as a strategy for Trump support, and that was bit part of WHY HE LEFT BREITBART!
It's not in my mind. Some liberals don't seem to understand that the progressive left is just another way of labeling the far left or the sjw types. These are the kind of leftists that spout the nonsense that white supremacy is anything that doesn't say black people are helpless victims incapable of bettering themselves without the help of white people. You have never met or heard an sjw speak if you believe that is in my mind.
