It's completely impossible to argue with a legitimate Marxist. Marxism is a secular religion. There is always an easy out in terms of "Marxism was never actually followed" or as Nepenthe pointed out "it wasn't implemented correctly. They are incapable of realizing that Marxism can never be implemented properly because it doesn't work and because of human nature. Marxists have as much irrational faith in their religion as any fundamentalist. It doesn't matter how many millions starve to death or wind up as literal slaves every time it is tried.
The Marxist posters here made my point though. Conservatives will generally admit there are right-wing extremists. There are conservatives in this thread saying they like seeing Nazis get punched. But in the very same thread, we saw how the Left very rarely will even ADMIT it has extremists.

You're going to say that there has never really been a Marxist country. Despite the fact that the USSR was based on bolshevism, which itself was a faction of a Marxist political party.
Marxism results in the EXACT same outcome every, single time it's tried: hungry people, repressive policies and rule by dictatorship or oligarchy.
But again, it's a religion. No matter the facts, eventually it will work and bring about the workers paradise. Just like (no offense Christian fundamentalists) Jesus hasn't come back for 2000 years, but by golly it's going to happen soon. Same level of faith is involved for both.
