They investigate any crime they come in contact with.

Do you think that when the cop stops you for a tail light and sees a bag of crack in the center console he's going to say, "Better get that tail light fixed, sir. Oh and you better hide that bag of crack, you've just lucky I stopped you for a tail light this time."

No way, Jose. You're going down.

It was also Trump that put the server in Hillary's basement and had Weiner have e-mails of Hillary on Weiner laptop.

Silly claim? That poster was literally telling you the SUBJECT of the investigation.

Since some on here seem to be unaware here is the Order from Rod Rosenstein appointing Special Counsel, which outlines the scope of the investigation.

Quote:
By virtue of the authority vested in me as Acting Attorney General, including 28 U.S.C.
§§ 509, 510, and 515, in order to discharge my responsibility to provide supervision and
management of the Department of Justice, and to ensure a full and thorough investigation of the
Russian govemmenfs efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, I hereby order as
follows:

(a) Robert S. Mueller III is appointed to serve as Special Counsel for the United States
Department of Justice.

(b) The Special Counsel is authorized to conduct the investigation confirmed by then-FBI
Director James 8. Comey in testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on
Intelligence on March 20, 2017, including:
(i) any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals
associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump; and
(ii) any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation; and
(iii) any other matters within the scope of 28 C.F.R. § 600.4(a).

(c) If the Special Counsel believes it is necessary and appropriate, the Special Counsel is
authorized to prosecute federal crimes arising from the investigation of these matters.

(d) Sections 600.4 through 600. l 0 of Title 28 of the Code of Federal Regulations are
applicable to the Special Counsel.
Order No. 3915-2017

No they don't. They are a roving investigation in search of a crime, any crime.

Phony? So, you're trying to say that Lynch never snuck that Russian lawyer into the country?

Manafort offered to give Russian billionaire ‘private briefings’ on 2016 campaign
"Less than two weeks before Donald Trump accepted the Republican presidential nomination, his campaign chairman offered to provide briefings on the race to a Russian billionaire closely aligned with the Kremlin, according to people familiar with the discussions."

"according to people familiar with the discussions" talk about some alleged "private briefings", then, the rest of the article goes on to make it appear that those at WaPo know exactly what those private briefings were about .. you like to throw the 'phony' remark around, maybe you should throw it at your own post.

Either that or put it to bed already.
Mueller just got the assignment in May(4 months ago) and was still hiring attorneys in July and August. It's still pretty new.

That's exactly what I'm saying.

He took over from Comey. The investigation has been going on for over a year by various agencies.

At least I'm providing independent links to my assertions. You got nothing but vaporware coming from the 6 inches between your ears. If you do provide a link it will be from Alex Jones or Info wars. Some weird conspiracy chain letter making the rounds of the alt right sites.

The Lynch/Obama conspiracy that they let the Russian lawyer in to frame Trump and his family is one of the largest piles of steaming bovine deposits to come from the alt right air waves since Mexico will pay for the wall.

Mueller didn't take over from Comey. The special counsel investigation initiated right around the time that Mueller was assigned to lead it. The House and Senate investigations are pretty much partisan dog-and-pony shows.

Remember when Nunes created the big fiasco that blew up in his face when he ran to the WH with his finding(later it was discovered that the WH gave him the stuff and him running to the WH with the findings was fake news designed for publicity). He was then forced to step down from the leadership role in the house investigation.

Seems lately that the Senate and House investigations are stepping on the Mueller investigation because they aren't sharing testimony in some cases.

The most important/biggest investigation really started 4 months ago when the Special Counsel was created.
