He didn't do it in the general public and one has to wonder who and why would someone try to sabotage Tillerson by leaking this to the general public?
Anyone with any sense of integrity or self pride would never work in this administration.

Nonetheless, I'm grateful that Mattis and Kelly are hanging in there.

At the very least it speaks to the fact of Tillerson being brighter than the usual suspects in the White House...

If you look at the counties that bought Trump's lies, they are primarily rural with much lower economic output than the counties that voted for Clinton.

Anyone who grew up in a rural area and has been back to a high school reunion thirty, forty years later has a good idea of what's going on here.

With a few exceptions, the folks with get up and go, got up and left. They went to college, started businesses, built lives that included dental insurance.

The folks who stayed behind continued trying to scratch out a living in increasingly depressing circumstances.

These are the ones who need a jump start to get their car going after the reunion picnic. The women look tired and older than their age. The men look like they've not lead easy lives either.

They talk about how they were screwed out of their pension when the Slim Jim factory or the coal/iron ore, ... mine closed down.

Factories are automated and not only require fewer workers, but workers that can operate and troubleshoot machines via computers.

They tried retraining at the community college. Some got IT certifications but were never able to get a job.
They are now stocking at Walmart, bartending, whatever they can get.

Jobs where you can retire at 40 years with a decent pension are few and far between, yet they cling to a thread of hope that Trump will bring back the good times. Deep down they know this is unlikely and encourage their kids to go to college.

They know Trump is a moron, but what else have they got?

yep,

what we are seeing is that TRUMP , picked a whole bunch of really bad hires. And that reflects on him, not the hires. It is the boss's job to pick good people...

One of the reasons people voted for trump is that he is suppose to be a great business man, dealmaker and such like. Yet here we see yet again just how incompetent trump truly is.

Trump has had to fire a bunch of the supposedly "great" people... Trump has not made great deals, he can't even deal with the GOP. Trump is possibly the worst POTUS in our History, and definitely the worst in modern history.
