I should have clarified my original statement. Obama did what he wanted to do in general while he was President. He didn't ask, he demanded or just did what he wanted to do.
But of course. You just dropped off a general comment in a thread having to do specifically with the renaming of Denali. That's perfectly logical and does not sound in the slightest like an attempt at covering up a dumb post after having hastily learned the facts.

This is just Trump acting the sum of his age (7 + 1). Poor pitiful man-child doing all this to spite Obama.
Make no mistake, it will be glorious watching the next president undo everything Trump ever did and making a point of doing it. Trump has been so un-subtle with his infantile obsession with Obama that it will be our patriotic obligation to erase anything Trump has done. He's probably pouting in a corner because Alaska wanted the name Denali.

Ohioans were outraged over Obama’s decision because the mountain was named for former President William McKinley, the state’s former governor, in 1986. He was assassinated in Buffalo, New York, in 1901.
Denali is the Athabascan word for "the high one." The Obama administration said it was renaming Mount McKinley "in recognition of the traditions of Alaska Natives."

Also, Trump is looking to curry better favor with a certain Lisa Murkowski. If he wants to get his agenda passed in the senate, then those contrarian members of the GOP will have to brought back to the fold.
Next, watch for some sweet concessions made to Susan Collins in Maine. Before we know it, John McCain will be the lone dissenter on the senate floor. Little does McCain realise it yet, but Trump is out to ensure McCain is isolated and will leave the senate in even a worse state than Flake or Corker.
