Trump probably really wants it named after himself. With his lack of humility and class, he would probably authorize it.

But of course. You just dropped off a general comment in a thread having to do specifically with the renaming of Denali. That's perfectly logical and does not sound in the slightest like an attempt at covering up a dumb post after having hastily learned the facts.

I am fully aware of how the name Denali came to be, where and when it began.
I'm sure you are - now.

Stay the hell away from Alaska, Trump. The mountain is Denali and should never have been named after some Outsider from Ohio who never visited Alaska.

Make no mistake, it will be glorious watching the next president undo everything Trump ever did and making a point of doing it. Trump has been so un-subtle with his infantile obsession with Obama that it will be our patriotic obligation to erase anything Trump has done. He's probably pouting in a corner because Alaska wanted the name Denali.

I hope he doesn't see this. Might give him ideas...

President Obama wants to change the name of Mt. McKinley to Denali after more than 100 years," Trump tweeted in December 2015. "Great insult to Ohio. I will change back!"

Ohioans were outraged over Obama’s decision because the mountain was named for former President William McKinley, the state’s former governor, in 1986. He was assassinated in Buffalo, New York, in 1901.
Denali is the Athabascan word for "the high one." The Obama administration said it was renaming Mount McKinley "in recognition of the traditions of Alaska Natives."

Trump asks Alaska senators if he should reverse Obama decision to rename Mount McKinley

More proof that Trump is obsessed with Obama instead of focusing on his own job as president.
Also, Trump is looking to curry better favor with a certain Lisa Murkowski. If he wants to get his agenda passed in the senate, then those contrarian members of the GOP will have to brought back to the fold.

Next, watch for some sweet concessions made to Susan Collins in Maine. Before we know it, John McCain will be the lone dissenter on the senate floor. Little does McCain realise it yet, but Trump is out to ensure McCain is isolated and will leave the senate in even a worse state than Flake or Corker.

Maybe Trump thought Obama renamed the mountain after the GM truck.

If he messes with Denali, he will lose more than the favor of Sen. Murkowski.

More of the insane left trying to destroy American culture. Columbus day, Robert E Lee and now erasing Mt. McKinley? This is further proof that the left must be fought tooth and nail or they will rewrite all history. Thank God for Donald Trump.
