It's good to finally see the GOP being called out for their cuts to Medicare and Medicaid:
"For example, an Oct. 31 House Budget Committee document has the Orwellian headline “Sustaining Medicare and Medicaid.” Perhaps only in Washington, D.C. would a $473 billion cut to Medicare be called “sustaining.”
"Texas, which never expanded Medicaid under the ACA, has cut traditional Medicaid so severely that children with special needs — even the need for assistance in eating without gagging — have lost therapy."
But. this tax bill is good for every corporation in the US, not one of them stand to lose - please explain how we can't have any losers in the business sector but it's ok to have millions of hardworking people end up being collateral damage
"But. this tax bill is good for every corporation in the US"
As it SHOULD BE!
It it hypocritical of MANY who blast American Corps for "going" overseas, then DON"t want to reduce the corporate tax rates.
We have the HIGHEST in the world.
"but it's ok to have millions of hardworking people end up being collateral damage"
Liberal B.S.
Corps are WHO CREATE JOBS.
It would be nice if those jobs were here INSTEAD of in another country, don't you think?
Even small corps will get a reduction.
Most of the Middle class, there are always anomalies, WILL get reductions.
Those that PAY the MOST in taxes WILL get the biggest reduction.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to do otherwise.
We area consumer economy.
When the mass's get more money in their pockets they SPEND it which creates demand on big and small corps to handle the increased demand of their product and service,
These demands are what it takes for these corps to HIRE MORE PEOPLE.
The Reagan tax cuts were accompanied by an increase in Payroll taxes. The Medicare rate more than doubled to 2.9%.
By law, Medicare and Social Security surpluses are invested in special issue Treasuries, making funds available for Federal Government to borrow.
The Medicare Tax Rate has not changed in 30+ years, while new technologies and medications have made many formerly fatal/ disabling diagnosis treatable and survivable.
The earlier nasty stuff is diagnosed, the more likely it is treatable/ survivable. If people cannot afford healthcare insurance in the decade leading up to Medicare eligibility, they will continue to present sicker when/ if they become eligible for Medicare.
The privatized US healthcare system is ranked at # 47, right after Iran, in terms of efficiency.
10,000 people a day are turning 65. The babyboom is the first generation to have paid into Medicare their entire working lives.

It IS this simple.
When you compare EFFECTIVE corporate tax rates, the US is reasonably. competitive.
Huge investments are being made in custom industrial robotics to compete with the cheapest sources of global labor. Tomorrow's factories will not employ the masses as they once did.
Unions lifted the US masses out of poverty onto the lower rungs of the middle class. Unions in the private sector peaked 60 years ago.
Manufacturing increasingly prefers to locate in Right to Work states and compensate their workers less than if located in states that are organized labor friendly.
The US has about 5 % of the world's population. Manufacturing seeks global expansion.
There is a limit in terms of products which can be made in the US and exported to the rest of the world. Shipping and import tariffs make the product uncompetitive in foreign markets, thus the need to manufacture in the country/ geographical area where the product will be sold or one with free trade agreements.
US auto manufacturers have had offshore assembly plants for nearly 100 years.
Walmart, McDonalds and Yum Brands ( Taco Bell) became the top three US employers in the 80's. Trickle down?
Investment, not consumerism, is what grows an economy.
Supply/ demand of any given skill set determines wages.
A corporation's first obligation is to its shareholders. Investors want dividends and stock buybacks which increase share value.
Yet she is against this tax plan because it favors the rich and does very little for the middle class
Democrats are against ANYTHING proposed by Republicans, and they dont mind lying to their little sheep because they know they are too dam stupid and will repeat those lies non stop...
