An Arizona man who has been jailed for 20 months awaiting trial on 11 charges in an armed standoff involving Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy has pleaded guilty in federal court in Las Vegas to a single felony conspiracy count.
A judge ordered Micah McGuire released following his plea on Tuesday just ahead of trial starting for Cliven Bundy, sons Ryan and Ammon Bundy, and Ryan Payne.
The four defendants sought to be released to a halfway house during trial.
The judge on Monday granted the request only to Ryan Bundy. He's serving as his own attorney and argued he was hampered in preparing his case in jail.
This is the exact reason they are holding them in jail. They want them all to give up and plead guilty.
But, wait! They HAVE been working on the "trail" for these people... looks like the govt is actually making progress.
"LAS VEGAS — A judge called a New Hampshire man a "bully vigilante" and sentenced him Wednesday to more than seven years in prison for his role organizing armed backers of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy after a standoff with U.S. agents in 2014. "
Simply sounds like Bundy could not or would not make bail. Welcome to the real cost of being poor.
If I were the BLM manager I would have rounded up all of the cattle on BLM land and sold them for hamburger as partial payment of the debt.
Actually his bail was denied, as tends to happen when facing charges like assaulting a federal officer with a deadly weapon.
He's a lifelong deadbeat and criminal who staged an armed insurrection against the government because they told him to stop stealing from the American people. Of course his bail was denied.

We don't let murderers out on bail either.
Judges also tend to deny bail to those that claim they do not recognize the jurisdiction of the court, as here. Mr. Bundy, Senior, refused to enter a plea, so the judge entered the 'not guilty' plea on his behalf.
I imagine that if Mr. Bundy had been let go pending trial, he would have holed up somewhere with his supporters (not counting his computer-based supporters, whom support him from their comfy chair), and been difficult to dislodge for court dates.
You like the fact they are being held without due process? As guilty, before proven innocent? Are you a Communist Marxist?
You agree with that? For 2 years they have been held in deplorable conditions, without due process?
They have gotten full due process. If the government wanted to imprison them without due process, it could have been done in Oregon a year ago.
Or they could have been sent to Guantanamo. There is a case that could be made that they are domestic terrorists.
Allowing bail is not a given in criminal proceedings. Ryan Bundy was allowed bail to prepare for court, but Cliven and Ammon are both flight risks.
You shouldn't let yourself boil over too soon. All the other juries have delivered both guilty and not-guilty verdicts, so don't be thinking this is something it is not.
And don't forget the statute of limitations has not run out. If you were actually there at Bunkerville as you once claimed, you could still have time to be keeping them company in their jail cell.
They are creating a political prisoner here, the like of Mandela.
We could see a Bundy in the Senate soon.
