I wonder if that's the time trump thinks of as America last being great was also. I've tried asking that question on this forum of trump voters - when was America last great? - but can never get a straight answer.
Here is what Moore said, in answer to the question:
"I think it was great at the time when families were united—even though we had slavery—they cared for one another…Our families were strong, our country had a direction."
He did not say, nor did he even suggest that we were great because we had slavery.
This is how you Leftists always twist the meaning of anything any conservative says. You have no shame!
Moore continues to play to the trump base in Alabama, not an insignificant group. It is very sad that racists continue to gain strength in the US, thanks to trump. It is now OK to say racist things in public, to say sexist things in public, to outright lie and get away with it.

Yes you can make this stuff up and the OP did. The original quote said nothing of the sort. I guess the current sexual accusations aren't quite enough for liberals so they have to make up complete lies in hopes of winning. Sadly for you libs, the Dem running against him screwed up and put out a racist ad which people are upset about. That's why now we see this desperation and fake news.

The left does that openly now. They have called for segregation on college campuses and support the values of slavery. They're not interested in equal but want special rights.
