It is very rare that I see anything coming from Hollywood anymore, so this doesn't even get on my radar screen. I used to like Hanks, but he has either become an extreme far left typical actor, or he is just letting it out more now. No thanks.

I'll see Dunkirk when it comes out on DVD in Redbox.

And Ted Kennedy is dead. Too late.
I read the book while he was alive and if you knew what he really did that night, you would not be gloating.

After seeing the well received Ken Burns 16 hour documentary about the Vietnam war, I am very interested in seeing this movie.

Default Democracy Dies in the Darkness.

Looks like an excellent movie, Spielberg always does a great job and great actors with Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks. This will cover the Pentagon Papers and Daniel Ellsberg also recently in Ken Burns series Vietnam. Great newspaper with tremendous history.

All of you realize this movie is a true story, right? The pentagon papers were real. The US was conducting illegal activities in Vietnam and Southeast Asia and lying to the public about it. Records of this activity leaked and the Washington Post (and other papers) did a lot of research to make sure they were legit and then decided to publish this information to let the American people know what was going on. This was a big deal because many of the reporters legitimately feared they would go to jail for this under the guise of leaking classified information.

Do you people really want a government that can do whatever it wants, even illegal activities, with impunity? Without anyone to let the American people know what is going on? This movie has nothing to do with Trump, it takes place in the early 1970s, it has everything to do with accountable government!

But all the actors in it are Liberals so it's a no go. Now if it was a bunch of conservative actors, people here would be say that it was going be a major hit and they'd go see it.

I haven't seen the movie, so I'll have to wait for Fox News and Rush Limbaugh to tell me what I should think.

I love WaPo. Best damn newspaper in the US. Ben Bradley....ahhhh. How he encouraged Woodward and Bernstein to pursue Watergate....what courage, what balls.

I moved to DC in 1971. I attended one session of the Watergate hearing (played hooky from work) and saw John Mitchell sweat as he was questioned.

We drove to the Govt. Printing Office the night they released the Nixon tapes in book form so we could be among the first to have one.

WaPo to this day is doing an admirable job on exposing the trump-Russian collusion. I hope I live long enough to see the movie about that.
