But we're constantly told Trump will beat him handily, so why would the market worry?

After all, with the economy supposedly booming, Trump is a sure bet for re-election, as the Trumpies here keep reminding us.

This is serious but it's not the damn plague.
We’re in correction territory now. An additional 10% makes a bear market.

With some economists forecasting zero corporate earnings, the exodus from equities to treasuries will continue. Watch gold and other precious metals- they’ll spike upwards as well.

If supply chains get disrupted, sectors will hurt, especially manufacturing (which by the way has fallen off the charts recently- the trade war has mostly hurt).

Since Trump doesn’t like, or better yet know how to process this data, I’m sure we’re going hear some fancy toungue work in the coming days. Let’s see what the snake-oil commander in Chief says next, lol.

If he had 1/2 a brain he'd say "I'm not running - elect Bloomberg" - but, then again, I think he's worried about doing jail time.

Exactly, what's the worry.

The market doesn’t have confidence in trump’s ability to contain the outbreak.

I posted multiple posts about a correction in early 2020 on this forum toward the end of 2019. Everyone was too busy bragging about their record gains. Froth was everywhere. I talked with multiple people who had never invested in the stock market before all of a sudden becoming very interested. Sure sign of a top.

I think a short-term bottom is very near. Central banks around the world are going to conduct record easing in unison. Trump will continue crying for negative rates. This will create a manic meltup to new record highs just when people are running scared. The up move will be fast. Then later this year into early 2021 the real bust happens. 50+% crater in equities.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to Trump answering questions about these very complex, moving parts of the economy & stock market.....without a teleprompter.

Should be pretty funny.
