These Republicans would institute full religious rule if they could get away with it. Imagine this America...
1) A constitutional amendment passed repealing the establishment clause in the First Amendment, instead affirming America's Christian heritage
2) A constitutional amendment banning all abortions, no exception
3) A constitutional amendment not only banning same-sex marriage, but also overturning 2003's Lawrence vs Texas and banning sodomy nationwide.
4) Homosexuality banned with the penalty of jail time, deportation, execution, mandated ex-gay therapy, or lobotomy
5) Birth control banned; abstinence-only education mandated nationwide
6) Repeal of the 21st Amendment and reinstatement of the 18th and Volstead Act. Marijuana, both recreational and medical, prohibited in all 50 states.
7) All entertainment such as movies, music, visual art, and theatre as well as news and media publications must past a "morality code" test before they will be allowed into public circulation
8) Nationwide Internet filter blocking out sexual explicit sites and websites that promote an agenda against the church
9) 11PM national curfew without a permit;
10) Women barred from the workplace, with a few exceptions for occupations in which women would be allowed. Women would be barred from all leadership positions
11) Indecent exposure laws expanded to require strict gender-conforming attire in public. To sum it up, everyone would be required to dress like the characters on the show I Love Lucy
12) Public schools would be required to teach the Bible, Christianity, and creationism. Evolution would be banned from science classes.
13) Church attendance would be mandatory a few times per year for everyone. Tax breaks would be given to people who can prove they faithfully attend Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night.
14) Churches/religious institutions that did not agree with the "fundamentals" established by the government would be declared enemies of the state and shut down. This includes all liberal Christian denominations as well as Islam and any other pagan or non-Christian religious institution.
15) No-fault divorce banned
16) The EPA and all environmental regulations abolished
17) Escalation of full-scale war in the Middle East (a new crusade)
