I support that position. It forces the Dems to support the American citizen.

A nation that won't pay for its defense is weakened and the enemy is embolden to attack. Its the prime directive of government.
No excuse to vote against paying the military. Dems will cave eventually.

Its a public poll.
Obviously Trump didn't put citizens first, since he refused to negotiate a spending bill.

Democrats already proposed paying the military.

Senator McCaskill (D) proposed it last night.

McConnell (R) refused to bring it to the floor for a vote.

Way to spin things around to make it seem like the Dems aren't interested in funding the military. Nice try but no dice.

If you want to play it that way, my question is, do you want to keep healthcare for 9M children or keep on funding a military that can't even account for 6.5 trillion?

Exactly. Which since the window on DACA does not close until ~ March 6, there is no need to attach this to a spending bill. Separate discussion and plenty of time. It is the Democrats problem for trying to hold a continuing resolution hostage to the DACA and larger immigration reform until its proper time.

Shame on #schumershutdown.

Absolutely.

They probably had to reinforce all the chairs in the Oval Office and those in front of every television in the White House.

Trump is already bummed that he's missing his pay-to-play Maralago weekend. His guests paid $100,000 each to have access to Trump at tonight's party, and instead they're getting Eric and his wife. Pretty funny.

On Wednesday, he's supposed to go to Davos to rub shoulders with the one-percenters of the globe. No way he can go if the shutdown is on and people are laid off. Bad optics, and all....

And we know how badly Donny wants to go to Davos and feel important, while pushing others out of the way in photos. So he's very motivated.
And the golf! Who is going to play all the golf!!?

So you are in the Republican camp on this issue and you think the Democrats claiming that government shutdowns kill US citizens was proof that Democrats are liars/idiots.

Feinstein is out there saying that the shutdown will kill US citizens, but that it is worth it to protect Obama's executive action on Dreamers. What does that say about her character?
